Analog Multimeter

Parts and Functions

 Scale: Displays the range of values for each measurement function.
 Pointer: Indicates the measured value by moving across the scale.
 Zero Ohm Adjuster Knob: Calibrates the meter to read zero resistance when the probes
touch.
 Range Selector Knob: Selects the appropriate measurement range (e.g., volts, amps, ohms)
for better accuracy.
 Zero Position Adjuster: Fine tunes the needle's starting position for accurate readings,
especially for DC voltage and current.
 Test Probes: Conducts electricity between the meter and the circuit being measured.
 Test Pins: Metallic tips at the end of the test probes that make contact with the circuit.
Digital Multimeter

Parts and Functions

 LCD Display: Shows the measured value digitally.
 Select Button: Chooses the desired measurement function (e.g., voltage, current,
resistance).
 10A Current Gear Jack: Accepts a special probe for measuring high currents (up to 10A).
 Range Switch: Selects the appropriate measurement range for better accuracy.
 VΩmA Input Terminal: Accepts the test probes for voltage, resistance, and low current
measurements.
 Transistor Measurement Jack: Used for testing transistors
 Short Press Data Hold/Long Press on the backlight: Freezes the displayed value (short
press) or turns on the backlight (long press).
 Test Pins: Metallic tips at the end of the test probes that make contact with the circuit.
 Test Probe: Conducts electricity between the meter and the circuit being measured.
