Artificial Intelligence is the science of ___________
perform human tasks.

(C) Answer in short.

K

1. Define Artificial Intelligence with an example.

TU

Ans. Artificial Intelligence is the science of training machines

to perform human tasks. Example- robots news anchor
are reading news.
2. Define the term Robot.
Ans. A robot is a machine capable of reacting to its
environment and carrying out computations to make
decisions and performing actions in the real world.

3. Define the term Robotics.
Ans. The science of developing and using robot machines
that are capable of performing human tasks is known
as Robotics.
4. Define the term Heuristics.
Ans. Heuristics is an approach to problem solving that uses a

S
practical method, but there is no guarantee of it being
optimal, rational or perfect but it is equipped to arrive

N
at a quick conclusion.

IO
(D) Answer the following questions.
1. Describe the 2045 Initiative.
Ans. In 2011, Russian billionaire Dmitry Itskov started an

AT
organisation called the 2045 Initiative. Its goal was to make
people immortal by adding human intelligence into artificial
bodies by 2045. The person's personality will be decoded and
turned into a computer code. This code will then be
IC
imprinted on an artificial brain, which most probably will be a
computer chip. This 'Artificial Brain' will then be installed into
a robot avatar and the person will continue to live as a robot
BL

even after he dies. This way he will always be alive, even after
his death.
2. Explain Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.
PU

Ans. Natural Language Processing or NLP is an area of artificial

intelligence that deals with communication between humans
and computers using the natural language of humans as
medium.
Machine Learning are a set of techniques that empower a
K

computer to modify its programs constantly whenever new

data is received. This makes the machine intelligent as it can
TU

respond to patterns of human behaviour and store the

resulting data in its system.
3. How will Computer Vision change the way our machines
operate?
Ans. Computer vision is a subset of artificial intelligence that aims
to make computers and machines visually enabled. This
means that they can see and understand an image!
Computer-7
Today, even then the greatest of our machines struggle to
interpret what they see. With the recent advancements in
computer vision, very soon AI-equipped computers and
machines will be able to literally 'see'. This will design a more
personalised and responsive experience for the computer
user.
4. Define the Expert System and explain its working.

S
Ans. Expert System is an interactive computer-based decision-

N
making system that is designed to solve complex decision-
making problems. First NLP processes the data, then expert
system analyses it to reach to a result. To generate that result,

IO
the system interprets the input using a variety of methods,
facts-based as well as heuristics.
