Examples:
If you heat water at 100 degrees, it boils.
Water boils if you heat it at 100 degrees.
When you pray, God listens.
If you place it in the fridge, the water freezes.
Task 2: Encircle the if clause, underline the main clause, box the
verbs in each clauses.
1. If people eat too much, they get fat.
2. If you touch a fire, you get burned.
3. People die if they don't eat.
4. You get water if you mix hydrogen and oxygen.
5. Snakes bite if they are scared.
D. Discussing new concepts and Task 3: Match the clauses from both columns to create zero conditional
practicing new skills # 1 sentences.
Zero conditional deals with habits and general truths such as laws. It is
formed using this structure:
if/when + present simple + present simple
condition result
