By-line - Jeanne Thayne, Mumbai, 21st February, 2019.

Lead - Matt Peterson is already a winning writer. He has won in his age
group in two essay contests recently. As a winner in the Lincoln essay
contest sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, he received a $100 Savings
Bond and also received a holiday last Monday so he could read his
essay at a Kiwanis awards luncheon held at the Utah Valley
Community College.

Important information - Matt also was notified recently that he was

chosen winner in the 8th grade division for his essay on Martin
Luther King. The contest was sponsored by the Marriott Library in
Salt Lake City, Matt received$25.

Next important information - How does Matt win? “Make it look like you
did a lot of research,” he said. The essays were about 500 words
long.

Conclusion - Matt apparently does his research. He likes to write. “I am

writing a book now,” he said. “It will be first of a series about medieval
times.” He said the book is fiction and is fun to do. He got the idea
from a computer game. Matt, 14 is the son of Jay and Jan Peterson.
