Operations Internship Cultural Tourism DC (CTDC), a small non-profit with a friendly, flexible atmosphere is seeking an outgoing and innovative

individual with excellent organizational and people skills, along with a passion for arts and culture. This internship provides a unique opportunity for students in tourism, arts management, communications, history, or another relevant field. Cultural Tourism DC is a nonprofit coalition of more than 230 arts, heritage, cultural, and community organizations throughout the nation's capital. We help Metro area residents and visitors experience Washington's authentic heritage and culture. Cultural Tourism DC offers an innovative, immersive, and valuable intern program that caters to the specific studies of a college student. Internships are available in five departments at Cultural Tourism DC, where students will have an opportunity to contribute to that departments work in a substantial way. The program is molded to fit the needs of each individual and includes professional development training, opportunities for cross-departmental work to gain broader experience, special outings to member sites, and much more. Duties will include: Provide administrative support to all five departments: Operations, Membership, Development, Marketing, and Heritage Programs ( including but not limited to filing, answering phone calls, mailings, database entry) Assist with recruitment of volunteers and interns Assist with prep and execution of promotional events such as Passport DC, WalkingTown, DC, and the Gala. Update and develop Cultural Tourism DCs pages on Facebook and MySpace and solicit friends Qualifications: Knowledge in Microsoft Office ( Word, Outlook, and Excel) Undergraduate or graduate student.
