I. Objectives
After the 45 minutes of discussion about Classify/Categorize sounds heard the
students will be able to:
a. Identify the sounds heard
b. Classify sounds as loud and soft
c. Show the importance of sounds in our environment

II. Subject Matter

SUBJECT: English
TOPIC: Classify/Categorize sounds heard
Materials: PowerPoint Presentation, printed pictures and speaker
References: Melcs for grade 2 English EN2PA-Ia-c-1.1

Good Morning, class! Good Morning, ma’am!

Before we begin, let us pray first. ( Students will pray)

B. Greetings

Again, a pleasant morning class! Good morning, ma’am!

How are you feeling today?


Are you happy or excited? (learners will respond)

That’s great! All of you are happy and


excited. Since today is a new day to learn, you
will definitely enjoy our lesson.

Before anything else let’s check the


attendance.
Are there any absentees?

(None, ma’am)
Okay, very well!

Before anything else pick up the pieces of


paper and candy wrappers under your chairs,
and then arrange your chairs.

Okay, now class settle down.

verb or the action words.

Did you know that we use verb in our


everyday lives? For instance you are writing
that is an example of action word.
Let us read altogether what verb is class?

Action verbs are words that express (Learner’s will read)
