Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join the Machine Learning Operations team in IDEXXs
R&D AI Center of Excellence. In this role, you will develop and deploy machine learning solutions. You will optimize
models for deployment on cloud infrastructure and embedded hardware, implement scalable and efficient training
procedures and integrate models into production systems. The Machine Learning Operations team supports all
projects in the Center of Excellence, and you will contribute to high impact problems. If you are passionate about
machine learning and invigorated by our mission to enhance the health and well-being of pets, people and livestock,

What you will do:


 Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
 Develop training processes that scale to large imaging and text datasets
 Optimize models for performance and scalability
 Work with software engineers and data scientists to integrate Client models into production systems on the cloud
and in embedded systems
 Collaborate with data scientists to identify and analyze data requirements
 Develop and implement data preprocessing and feature engineering pipelines
 Stay up to date with the latest developments in machine learning and related fields

What you need:


 Previous experience in machine learning as evidenced by delivering solutions into production
 Excellent software engineering skills including a test-driven mindset
 Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, and evidence of experience with other languages
 Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Tensorflow and PyTorch
 Experience optimizing model performance on CPUs, GPUS embedded hardware optimization is a plus but not
required. You will help optimize models on embedded systems.
 Experience with Client tech stacks, including Databricks, MLflow, Amazon AWS (EC2, S3, SageMaker),
containerization technologies such as Docker
 High level of comfort with Linux
 Experience with SQL
 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
 Excellent communication and collaboration skills
