Subject: English
1. Make a beautiful bookmark for your English Book. Decorate it and write a
famous quotation by a well-known poet or author.
2. Write a summer travelogue sharing your experiences, feelings and specialties of
the place. (200- 250 words)
3. Prepare a comic strip of a dialogue between Narrator and Woman after reading
the lesson 'The Luncheon.'
4. Complete Unit 9 'Punctuation' of Practice Book. Also make a poster showing
'Punctuation Marks' learnt in the unit.

10. 120 men had food provision for 200 days. After 5 days ,30 men died due to an epidemic. How long
will the remaining food last?

11. If the thickness of a pile of 12 cardboards is 35 mm, find the thickness of a file of 294 cardboards.

12. The perimeter (P) and side (S) of a square are connected by the relation P= 4S draw the graph of this
relation on the graph paper.

13. The students of a school donated Rs 7569 for the Himachal Relief Fund.Each student donated as many
rupees as the number of students in the class.Find the number of students in the class.
14.In an auditorium there are 6165 chairs. For an Inaugural function, chairs are to be arranged in such a
way that the number of rows and number of chairs in each row are the same.
(i) How many minimum number of chairs should be purchased to get such an arrangement?
(ii) Find the number of attendees that can occupy the first row.

CASE Study Question

A school is an educational institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for
the teaching of students under the direction of teachers. Two sisters Saina and Sheela go to school by cycle.
Sheela rides her cycle at an average speed of 12km/hr.She reaches her school in 20 minutes. Saina goes at
an average speed of 16km/hr.

Give answers to the following questions based on the above case study

(i) The average speed of Sheela in is:

a. 3 km/hr
b. 15 km/hr
c. 41 13 km/hr
d. 313km/hr

(ii) The distance of school from Sheela’s house is

(a)54 km

(iii) If Sheela decreases her speed by 2km/hr , then how much time will she take to reach the school?

22. Our School decided to award prizes to those students who will show following values:-

3) Regularity in attendance

to make them responsible human beings. The number of students getting prizes in three categories is in ratio 2:3:4.
The product of the ratios is 192.
