I. INTRODUCTORY CONCEPT
This activity sheet was designed and written to help you present a coherent,
comprehensive report on differing viewpoints on an issue happening around
you. You can know what is right or what is wrong and you can justify your
viewpoints. Your views may be the same or different from your classmates or
people around you.

In the previous Learning Activity Sheet (LAS) you have learned about giving
a differing point of view to a certain issue. This time you will compose a
comprehensive report on differing viewpoints on an issue using different social
media platforms/paper-based instruction.

As you finish answering this module you are expected to:

A. Let us Review
Write YES if you agree with the statement and NO if you disagree.
1. A viewpoint is a person's way of thinking in general or particular things.
2. A person may have different viewpoints on a certain issue.
3. In presenting viewpoints, it is important to consider the viewpoints of
others.

B. Let us study

Point of view refers to the way a writer or author allows the readers
to “hear”, “see” and “feel” what takes place in pieces of writing.

The three main types of point of view are:


1. First Person. The author is involved in the story. He or she may
be the main character or one of the characters. The pronouns I
and we are used.
2. Second Person. This type of point of view is rarely used in
literary writing. It is commonly used in instructional writing. The
pronoun you is used.
3. Third person. The author or narrator is not involved in the story.
He or she is only a witness. He or she knows the thoughts and
feelings of the characters. The pronouns he, she, it, and they are
used.

Remember that in writing a viewpoint your first sentence/paragraph


should state your point of view. The second sentence/paragraph should give
a reason/s why you agree or disagree with the viewpoint. And finally, cite
example/s of your viewpoint if necessary

 If we have differing viewpoints the only way to ease the conflict of any
argument is to consider what the others will say or think about what you
think, through this, you will learn to trust others.
 We can present a coherent and comprehensive report on differing
viewpoints on an issue if we will write our report clear, well-organized,
and complete.
 If you are presenting your point of view, explain your side with facts or
you can use your own experiences to justify your side. You should
provide support, reason, or basis for these points.
 You must observe the use of capitalization, punctuation, and grammar
so that the reader can easily understand your points.

Due to the threat of Covid 19 too young children like you, the way how
education to be delivered has changed. Before the learning takes place at the four
corners of the classroom and there was a teacher in their front teaching the lesson.
But now, the learning takes place at their home with the guidance of their parents.
The lessons were delivered through modules that were provided by the
Department of Education.
Do you think modular instruction is the best alternative way of delivering
instruction in this time of pandemic? Why? Why not?
