Subject: JB`s - WG 85-6
Attachments: JB List.xlsx

Hi Ananda,

- The current design on WG 85-6 is based on reuse of existing JB`s and cables.
- The concern around condition of existing JB`s was being discussed. The design and work packs shall continue
accordingly on the basis of re-use of existing JB`s.
- To ensure we are not caught in trouble in a shutdown due to an existing JB that cannot be re-used, please
find attached a list of JB`s to be procured. These will be an insurance/back up stock and hence shall not be
captured in the design documents or BOQ`s in the work packs.
- Take note of the yellow highlighted rows in the attachment that mention the number of terminals, the Ex
rating required, material of construction etc.
- I assume all the cable entry points to the JB`s come fitted with blind Ex plugs such that any entry point not
being used remains plugged. Correct? Please confirm.
- Please consider the other bulk accessories for these JB`s such as cable glands as part of the MTO to be
procured.

Let me know if any clarifications are needed.

Thanks.
Regards,
Peter.

1.2 Work Order WG0085-6 Scope of Work

The project scope is to complete the engineering and procurement services for the replacement of train isolation
valves in the following assets
a) NR NGL,
b) North Rumaila Compressor stations (CS-1 to CS-5),
c) South Rumaila Compressor stations (Janubiya, Qurainat, Markaziya and Shamiya) and
d) Zubair Hammar Mishrif Compressor station.

Existing Train Isolation valves are either old, motor operated, not fail safe and / or having functional issues.

Following are the categories of replacement involved,

a) Replace existing pneumatic operated valve with new pneumatic operated valve with fail safe design
b) Replace existing motor operated valve with new pneumatic operated valve with fail safe design
c) Replace existing manual valve with new pneumatic operated valve with fail safe design

The rating of solenoid in the existing valves are 110 VDC for Compressor stations and 110VAC for NR NGL.
Therefore, for each valve being replaced as part of this project scope, two numbers of solenoid valves are
included in vendors scope (1 number rated for 24 VDC and 1 number rated for 110 VDC for Compressor stations
/ 110 VAC for NR NGL). In order to implement the FRR project, valves shall be hooked up to the existing control
panels which are based on 110 VAC / 110 VDC solenoid designs in the interim phase. 24 VDC solenoid shall

98 No’s of valves will be replaced in a phased manner and will be captured through 11 No’s of Work-packs. Each
work-pack will have Scope of Work for each station with tag number details, Drawings, Documents as applicable,
Materials (BOMs / MTOs), Completions & Certification, Close-out / As-building, TQ(s), Site Construction
Completion Check List as required for the work pack.
Work-pack will consist of Pre-shutdown and shutdown activities.

Pre-shutdown will include all works to be done by installation contractor in advance in order to be ready for
shutdown, for example – foundations for JBs, JBs installation, cabling and termination where possible, etc.

Shutdown activities will include the works to be done during shutdown, like valve dismantling, valve installation,
final hook-ups etc. The sequence and priority should be as per shutdown schedule/request.

For Constructability, Safety and Effective execution of the above project scope all the works have been broke
down onto 11 different work-packs which are as following:
