2024 Parent Progress Report Letter To Parents
Please be advised that all students at Cranbourne Secondary College will receive a Progress Report
approximately every 4 to 5 weeks. The purpose of Progress Reports is to give a snap shot of your child’s current
progress in each of their subjects.

In years 7 to 10, if your child has been marked as not up to date, that means that they have not completed the
key course requirements for that particular progress report cycle. In year 11 and 12, if your child has been
marked as not up to date, that means that they have not completed the key course requirements semester. In
both of these instances, your child’s subject teacher will meet with them to explain what work needs to be
completed to meet the expected outcomes. They will also record the ‘Work Outstanding Notice’ on Compass
and you will receive both an SMS notification and email. You may receive this in the week leading up to progress
reports being published. The subject teacher will also provide your child with a copy of the ‘Work Outstanding
Notice’.
In order to support success, it is important that students attend classes regularly and avoid being absent. If your
child is in Year 11 and 12 and has been absent and you have not yet provided a medical certificate, please do so,
as this will be required for consideration of assessment (including School Assessed Coursework / School
Assessed Tasks) and overall progress.
If you have any concerns or require further information please contact your child’s Year Level Leader.
