    NARRATIVE REPORT

    Fire strikes anytime anywhere. So, fire safety and prevention is very
    important. Awareness is the key to lesson and minimize the number of fire
    destruction and deaths. Apalit High School conducted orientation and
    seminar every year and also to celebrate the Fire Prevention Month.

    The objectives are as follows:


    a. To know how to reduce fire risks, deal with fires if appropriate,
    escape safely in the event of fire and
    b. To evaluate the readiness and awareness of the learners and DepEd
    personnel on fire safety and prevention by hands-on activities prepared.

    Relative to 2022 Fire Prevention Month Theme of Central Luzon: “Sa


    Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa!” Apalit High School conducted the
    School Symposium on Fire Safety and Prevention by the effort of Bureau of
    Fire Protection Central Luzon on April 18, 2023 at exactly 10:00 o’clock in the
    morning.

    The discussion is all about the possible causes of fire, how can a school
    and learners to prevent fire and also the safety precautions before, during
    and after a fire. The focus and highlights of the symposium was the actual
    demonstration in operating fire extinguisher. The team of BFP Apalit gave
    opportunities to some learners and teachers of Apalit High School to use and
    operate fire extinguishers with their supervision.

    The symposium on fire safety and prevention in Apalit High School was
    successfully conducted. It was participated by Grade 9 and Grade 11 GAS
    teachers and learners. No untoward incident happened during the conduct of
    the fire demonstration.
