1.Make a summary from the video entitled “Gorilla Toolmaker”. (Min 2 paragraph)
Gorrila is a great animal they have a smart brain and very very smart when using tools In the
wild, gorillas have been shown to use tools, demonstrating their intellect and capacity for
problem-solving. For instance, they might use sticks as a tool to remove insects from water or
to measure the depth of the water before crossing.
or to help in maintaining balance when navigating marshy areas. This behavior shows that
gorillas can plan ahead and use things from their surroundings to solve particular problems.
Although gorillas do not typically use tools like chimpanzees do, these examples show how
intelligent and creative their mental processes can be when needed.

2. In what ways do you think humans and gorillas are similar?

Humans and gorillas share several similarities, both physically and behaviorally. For
example, both species have a similar skeletal structure, which are key traits of primates.
These physical similarities enable tool use, complex hand movements, and a wide range of
expressions
have strong emotional bonds within their groups, showing affection and care for one another.
3. Read the information below. Using the information and your own ideas, what do you think
animals use tools for? Give some examples and explain at (least 2) of animal that use tools
(besides gorilla).
Animals mostly use tools to make sure their survival, whether it be by gathering food,
protecting themselves, or enhancing their surroundings. Chimpanzees, for example, have
been observed to carefully select and modify sticks in order to find fish or termites and
remove the insects from mounds. The sea otter, which uses rocks as anvils to crack open
oysters, is another example. Through these actions, the animals show off their intelligence
and flexibility to increase their chances of surviving by using objects in their environment.

4. How is gorilla behavior similar to, and different from human behavior?
Emotionally gorillas can be atleast as empathetic as humans, as seen in cases were they
interacted with animals or people. They have the same gender roles and live in families. They
usually only get aggressive towards threats like leopards
5. How does studying animal behavior help us? What do you think we can learn from it?
We are able to better understand the complex nature of the natural world and the biological
and evolutionary roots of our own behavior by studying the behavior of animals. Through
studying the interactions between animals and their surroundings, we can learn about social
structures, communication, problem-solving techniques, and survival tactics. This
information can help with conservation efforts, improve animal welfare, and maybe stimulate
improvements in technology and medicine. In addition, learning about animal behavior might
help us better understand biodiversity and how all living things are linked.
