Hero Honda motors limited started as a joint venture between Hero group and the Honda Motor Company of Japan in 1984, Jun 19, the first motorcycle CD 100 was produced in 1985. Hero Honda became the first company to serve the armed forces with its 100cc motorcycle .in 2000 , companys brand Splendor was declared worlds number one largest selling single two wheeler model. Introduction of BAJAJ
Bajaj Auto started its business as M/s Bachraj trading corporation limited in 1945 by Jamnalal Bajaj . It started with the sales of imported two and three wheelers in 1948.in 1959 , Bajaj Auto obtained license from Government of India to manufacture two And three wheelers. Rahul bajaj took charge of the business in 1965. under his leadership , the company tied up with Kawasaki industries of Japan for technological Collaboration and launched Kawasaki Bajaj KB 100 motorcycles. At present, Bajaj auto is ranked as worlds largest two and three wheelers manufacturer.

Research methodology
Research is a careful and systematic effort of gaining new knowledge. Research is an original contribution to the existing stock of knowledge making for its advancement; it is the pursuit of true with the help of study, observation, comparison and experiment. In short the research of knowledge through objectives and systematic method of finding solution to problem is research.

RESEARCH DESIGN
The research design is plan, structure and strategy of investigation conceived so as to obtain answer to research questions and control variance. Research design is the specification of methods and the procedures for acquiring the information needed. The research design when chosen correctly. Prevents deviation in the study

SAMPLING AND SAMPLING DESIGN


It is not possible to examine every items in the population hence inferences is drawn about a large no. of items processing a particular attribute based on analysis of fraction of such items . it is called as a sample. DATA COLLECTION
The task of data collection begins after a research problem has been defined and research design chalked out. For this research project both the primary & secondary data has been collected.

PRIMARY DATA
For collecting primary data a survey is carried out primary dada was collected through questionnaire. The questionnaire was structured undisguised type. It has both objective type questions and dichotomous questions. It has been prepared taking in to consideration various parameters like customers expectations, company offering, service standards and other aspect of consumer behavior.

SECONDARY DATA

Secondary data are collected through internet, newspapers, etc.

ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

In this survey I found that respondent are HERO HONDA users.

Mostly people have splendor & Passion, some of them have TVS , and YAMAHA. Mostly respondents purpose for using motorcycle for official purpose and household purpose and few have any other purpose.

The brand also plays an important role in their purchasing decision. Many users go for low maintenance and good average.

Mostly respondent are satisfied with the brand

LIMITATION

1.

It was difficult to survey a large number of people after the college Hours the sample size taken to small to draw accurate conclusion.

2.

Respondent were hesitant of stating their personal information like Income etc.

3. Some respondent were not serious about the survey.

4. As the respondent are human beings. Therefore are chances of business In their responds.

5.

The conclusion is not fully free of business.

CONCLUSION

In the study I found that market share of two wheelers companys of HERO HONDA 50 % in out of 50 respondents 35 % BAJAJ and 15 % others. Mostly people use two wheelers for official purpose .their decision are greatly effected by the brand special offers and gifts offered by service provider.

RECOMMENDATIONS & SUGGESTION

1. Feed back of customers must be considered. 2. Companies should provide special scheme for lower income groups. 3. Brand image can be converted in huge consumer base. 4. Strategic advertisement and publicity of various scheme of the company.
