The hard work of 32 years has borne fruit. It
is indeed an honour and a great moment in
time for me to be at the helm of affairs as
the Srinivas University takes shape. The
nation is peaking towards phenomenal
growth and time couldn’t be better for all of
us; including the final stakeholders i.e.
students learning diverse disciplines such as
Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Engineering,
Management, Pharmacy, Para Medical
Sciences, etc. in the numerous constituent
colleges and I’m certain, that with proper
guidance and motivation, this sparkling
energy can be channelised for the utilization
of building the nation.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM-2024
The Orientation Programme for Undergraduate
Programs 2024 at Srinivas University welcomed new
students into the academic community. Organized by
the Institute of Computer Science & Information
Sciences, the event featured welcoming speeches from
Dr. Subrahmanya Bhat, Dr. Satyanarayan Reddy, Prof. Er.
A. Mitra S. Rao, Smt. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao, Dr. A. Srinivas
Rao, and Dr. CA A. Raghavendra Rao. Highlights
included the lighting of the lamp ceremony, an oath-
taking ceremony, and discussions on university values
and opportunities. The event concluded with a vote of
thanks, setting a positive tone for students as they
embark on their academic journey.

Day 2 of the Orientation Programme for Undergraduate Students 2024 at Srinivas University took place on
July 25, 2024, at Hotel Srinivas, Mangalore. The day included two key sessions. Prof. Shwetha Pai discussed
transitioning to the corporate world, emphasizing communication, teamwork, and adaptability. She provided
tips on resume building, interviews, and networking to help students prepare for their careers. Session 2:
Drug Awareness and Cyber Crime Mr. Maruthi, Police Sub Inspector, educated students on drug abuse risks
and the NDPS Act, along with strategies to avoid cybercrime and protect personal information.
Day 3 of the Orientation Programme for Undergraduate Students 2024 at Srinivas University was held on
July 26, 2024, at the Pandeshwar Campus. The theme, "Embarking on a Path to Academic Success," focused
on helping new students acclimate to university life. Final year students conducted interactive sessions to
share their experiences and guide newcomers through their academic journey. The day also featured a
Dental Camp Session, offering health insights and services. Overall, the event emphasized holistic
development, blending academic preparation with health awareness to set the stage for a successful
educational experience.

The Orientation Programme for
Undergraduate Students at Srinivas
University, held on 31st July 2024 at Hotel
Srinivas in Mangalore, marked the
beginning of an exciting academic
journey for new students. The event
featured a range of activities, including an
invocation, welcoming of guests with
floral tributes, and a traditional lamp-
lighting ceremony to symbolize
enlightenment.

Dr. Sri. CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, the Chancellor,

delivered an inspiring presidential remark,
encouraging students to strive for excellence. A
current student shared her experiences to offer
guidance to the newcomers. Students took an
oath to uphold the university's values, and
interactive sessions allowed them to engage
and connect with peers and faculty.

The program concluded with a vote of

thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone
involved. This event set a positive tone
for the academic year, emphasizing the
importance of community, learning, and
personal development.

Logout
Party

MCA #2022
On July 20, 2024, Srinivas University's
Institute of Computer Science & Information
Sciences hosted the "Logout Party," a
farewell event for the MCA batch #2022, at
the Pandeshwara Campus. The event
celebrated the achievements and memories
of the outgoing students with a vibrant and
memorable ceremony.
The party commenced with a traditional
lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the
light of knowledge guiding the students into
their future endeavors. Faculty members and
students participated, showcasing heartfelt
speeches and sharing cherished memories of
the time spent together.

Throughout the event, students enjoyed a

variety of cultural performances, including
dance, music, and skits, adding fun and
excitement to the atmosphere. The program
highlighted the students’ talents and creativity,
