How to access Benefits Online
Authentication is done through Single Sign On capabilities exist for certain applications such as Benefits
Insights and the WTW Participation Portal.
OnePlace supports WTW’s applications that are used by
our clients.

You will need to enter your login credentials and select


Benefits Online from the App catalogue.

If you don’t have access to the Benefits Online application,


please contact the Benefits Data Source team at

Overview
User can select
preferred language.

Where you will see informative dashboards on country database,


subscriptions and other offerings. Once logged in, user needs to select a survey and
a country.
Where you define your peer groups. Only available with
Custom subscription.

Access detailed descriptions of benefit plans by


individual organization. Only available for BDP North America
with Custom subscriptions.

Where you query the database. Peer groups defined in the Filters
section would be available. Standard subscription users would
only see All Participants.

Where users can view and manage their subscriptions by survey


and country.

Where users can access the user guide or report technical issues.

Prevalence module
Prevalence module provides statistical information, on an aggregate basis, on the characteristics of HR and benefit programs based on data
captured from our survey sources. Users can query individual provisions of interest or can export an entire report.

Reporting of BDP survey results
Prevalence options

Users will use the Prevalence Filter option to define their search.

Depending on the selections made, each table will include information


on the applicable counts or sample size.

“Unique participant count” refers to the number of organizations


responding to a question.

“Total response count” refers to the number of plans being 3


reported for a given question. Since organizations can provide
information on more than one plan, it is possible to report a higher 1 Employee categories: User can select one or more employee

Prevalence options – Provision filters
Ability to drill deeper into the results

Within a benefit topic, users can use the provision filter 1


functionality to narrow the prevalence results based on

specific response options.

Example: You are interested in looking at the prevalence
information on Healthcare benefit plans based on 4
supplemental medical plans only.

1 Click “Select A Plan Type.” For this example, select BDP - Healthcare.

2 Click “Select A Section.” For this example, select Health care coverage.

3 Click “Select A Sub Section.” If a Sub Section is not available, the menu will default to the Section as in this example.

4 Click “Select A Provision” and click on the response option(s) you would like to use as a data filter and then click Add. Up to 3 filters may be
added. For this example, select Types of medical plan and we are interested in only supplemental medical plan response option.

5 Once all filters are added, click on Apply. You will be returned to the prevalence screen to view the prevalence results based on the
applied filter.

User permissions
Primary users only
A primary user can manage permissions for other users within their
organization.
1 Enter user email address(es) into the table
2 Click Grant Permissions
The user(s) added will gain access to the same data as the primary
user.
A primary user can add up to 100 users at a time.
Only users with the same email domain as the primary user can be
added. Contact [email protected] if
the user has a different email domain.

Filters module
Available to clients with Custom level subscriptions only

Number of organizations defined by your


criteria will be automatically adjusted. You can save filters
for future use.
All saved filters
are accessible from
the Prevalence
Use filters to customize peer groups by industry, module.
headcount and company revenues. The list of
organizations in the peer group cannot be
disclosed in order to maintain confidentiality.
To compare against the entire database, leave all
criteria blank.

The ability to generate peer group cuts by selecting individual companies is NOT available in the Custom subscription,
except for BDP North America. However, requests can be handled on demand. Additional fees apply.

Highlight feature
Available to clients with Custom level subscriptions only

The highlight feature allows users to highlight their response


data in the prevalence tables for ease of comparison.
The response highlight feature can be found under
Prevalence Options. 1

1 Select the organization to highlight. Only one organization


may be highlighted at a time.
2 Select the employee category to highlight. A category must
be selected in order to use the highlight feature; only one
category may be highlighted for comparison at a time.
The employee category selection is independent of any
employee category selected under response filters.

The Plan Information feature allows users to view detailed


plan summaries for other participants, in an Excel format

1 Select from a list of organizations defined in the Filters module or view


All Participants.
