MY CHOSEN COURSE: COMPUTER ENGINEERING

Computer engineering is a branch of Computer science and electronics engineering that


integrates several fields of computer science. It combines the fields of electrical engineering and
computer science. I have interest and passions in a lot of things especially computer
engineering because of the innovative ideas and technologies that are part of the well being and
improvement of people's lives.
I actually because interested in computer engineering because it was the best course among
the available courses to study for the scholarship.
One of the reasons why I want to study computer engineering is a considerable desire to
create ground breaking, creative and maginative solutions and technologies that will improve life
of individuals. Also, I have this obsession and interest with the rapid evolution of technology and
the influence it has on the society.
Secondly, I am fascinated with stuffs that have to do with problem solving and critical
thinking which computer engineering requires.
Also, the opportunity to work on a wide range of applications like software developing, A.I
consulting, hardware info, networking. These are another important reasons to study computer
engineering.
Further more, I think I have got the potential and capability to make a significant impact in
various industries such as the health, finance, education and technology.
I have some career goals and aspirations in computer engineering as a software
developer/data scientist.
My short-term goal is learning a new programming language such as Java script or python and
become a proficient programmer and an expert in programming.
My long term goal is to be able to build my own network and lead a software development
project.
You must aspire to become who you want to be and you must also have relevant skills and
strength that align with the demands of computer engineering, such as knowledge of operating
systems, debugging and trouble shooting, problem solving and analytical skills.
Also, you should learn problem solving, coding skills which I have started taking in my
secondary school.
In conclusion, skills such as creativity, coding and problem solving are in a great demand to
computer engineering. I promise to be of great significance to every industry that needs my
skills and eventually my course as a computer engineer I also believe that Covenant University
will be a good platform as one of the best Universities to acquire knowledge and skills in
computer engineering.
