Abstract
This study aims to investigate the impact of internship experience and career guidance on job readiness of
Vocational High School (SMK) students in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Muara Bungo.
The research method used is descriptive quantitative research with a comparative causal approach (Expost Facto).
Data collection was done through indirect communication techniques, direct communication techniques, and
documentary studies, using instruments in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The population of this
study were all XII grade students at SMK N 1 Muara Bungo. The sampling technique used was Propotional Random
Sampling. Data analysis was carried out with the following steps: (1) descriptive analysis; (2) prerequisite test
analysis includes normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test; (3) hypothesis testing through simple
regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that internship experience has an influence
of 45.5% on the work readiness of vocational students in the field of ICT in Muara Bungo. Furthermore, career
guidance has an influence of 35.5% on the work readiness of the same students. Furthermore, the results show that
pre-service learning experience and career guidance together have an influence of 54.9% on the work readiness of
vocational students in the field of ICT in Muara Bungo.
Abstract
BACKGROUND Clinical evaluation utilizing the escape room game is recognized as a novel method for assessing the team-
oriented performance of learners. It is a tool for evaluating teamwork skills in clinical settings, which can boost student
motivation and learning. This study aimed to investigate the effect of clinical evaluation through escape rooms and feedback
provision through the PEARLS (promoting excellence and reflective learning in simulation) approach on pre-internship nursing
students’ satisfaction, learning, and preparedness to practice as interns. MATERIALS AND METHOD The current research is a
quasi-experimental quantitative study conducted with a census sample of 42 sixth-semester undergraduate nursing students in
2022. The escape room method was utilized to evaluate entry preparedness into the clinical field. Reliable and valid researcher-
made questionnaires were administered to assess the impact of the intervention on learning, satisfaction, and preparedness. The
data were analyzed in SPSS version 26 using descriptive and inferential tests. The significance level was considered to be less
than 0.05. RESULTS Twenty-six males and 16 females constituted the 42 participants (mean age: 23.46 years). The clinical
evaluation method of the escape room game was deemed satisfactory or highly satisfactory by 80% of students. From the
perspective of 72% of students, escape rooms were definitely or highly effective in shaping their preparedness to enter the
clinical field. Comparing the students’ mean learning scores (self-assessment of clinical skills) before and after the test revealed
that their post-test scores (55/16 ± 13/33) were significantly higher than their pre-test scores (45/58 ± 16/58) ( P < 0.001).
CONCLUSIONS It appears that using the escape room evaluation method in conjunction with other student evaluation methods
has helped improve students’ interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and teamwork. The
experience of working in a group not only improves these skills and is enjoyable to students but can also enhance their learning.
Clinical education is dependent on teamwork. The escape room test can be viewed as a valuable tool for encouraging students to
collaborate as a team. Therefore, it is suggested that students in all medical education groups be evaluated clinically using this
test.
Abstract
This study employed a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design to explore the relationships between various
variables in the context of education in the New Bataan District of Davao de Oro, Philippines. The research locale included seven
public schools in the district: Camanlangan Elementary School, Camanlangan National High School, La Purisima Elementary
School, Magangit Integrated School, Major Angel V. Fajardo National High School, Panag Elementary School, and Tandawan
Integrated School. The respondents of the study were 105 teachers from the aforementioned schools, selected through universal
sampling to represent the entire population. The study aimed to describe the status of knowledge regarding specific variables and
examine the degrees of relationship among those variables using a survey questionnaire. The research findings revealed a
significant positive relationship between the teachers’ attitudes and their sense of self-efficacy. This suggests that teachers with
more positive attitudes tend to have a stronger sense of self-efficacy in their teaching abilities and practices. The research design
allowed for the careful collection, analysis, and interpretation of mostly quantitative data to achieve the study’s objectives of
describing the phenomena at hand and establishing the relationships between the variables in question. The insights gained from
this study will provide valuable information about the educational landscape of the New Bataan District and contribute to the
understanding of the factors influencing educational outcomes in the region. KEYWORDS: Teachers’ Attitude, Self-Efficacy,
