e) Column 2 = Execution Time, keying in a value yields ## m (where m = minutes) formatting

g) Column 4 = Test Steps
Verify Test Results Section:
a) Black bar title = "TEST RESULTS"
b) All white background
c) Column 1 = Status which is split into full name + abbreviation (to lookup in calc)
d) Column 2 = Total Execution Time per test case result
e) Column 3 = Count of test cases per test case result
f) The information status row has Count grayed out because we do not care what the count is, only time spent on it
g) There is a totals row summing up Execution Time and Test Case count for this worksheet
h) There is a blank pie chart titled "By Counts"

Verify dim gray blockout above Test Cases section

Verify Happy Path First Test Cases Entry:
1. Go to row for test case #1 (row 18)
2. Enter 5m for exec tm
3. Enter P for status (pass)
4. Enter "blah blah blah" for test steps
Expected:
a) No errors
b) Cells G12 thru G15 do NOT go red with any validation errors
c) The Test Results graph appears (now data is available) -- all green, 100%
d) The total count = 1, and the total ExecTm = 0.1hr
e) The Pass row has a count =1 and ExecTm = 0.1hr

Verify you can skip rows to leave room for future growth, and counts not impacted in Test Results table
Verify Status Drop down popup help text contains
a) Deleted,
b) information,
c) ToDo,
d) Blocked,
e) Failed, and
f) Passed

Verify Edge Case - Delete contents without disrupting automatic calculations:

c) Graph disappears and counts and time revert to 0 at Test Results section

Verify Status Background colors depending on which item selected

1. Select Status "i" - Verify same pale yellow as columns 2 and 4 (ExecTm and Test Steps)
2. Select Status "T" - Verify Bright Light Blue (with white bold text)
3. Select Status "B" - Verify Yellow (with black bold text)
4. Select Status "F" - Verify Red (with white bold text)
5. Select Status "P" - Verify Green (with white bold text)
Verify Negative Case - REJ-02 Validation Error
1. Selecting only a Status column value
2. Leaving Exec Time and Test steps columns blank
Expected:
1. Cell G12 in dark red "VALIDATION ERROR!"
2. Cell G14 in dark red "REJ-02: ### [Status] rows <> ### [Test Steps] rows'

Verify Delete selections made in prior step will clear the errors in G12 and G14
Verify Negative Case - REJ-01 for Exec Time only (Enter 1m for col 2, and leav col's 3 and 4 blank)
Expected: Cell G12 = Validation Error, and G13 has REJ-01 error both in dark red
Verify Negative Case - REJ-01 and REJ-02 if only enter TestSteps, elaving ExecTime and Status blank
Verify Negative Case - REJ-02 if only Col 2 Status populated with each value in the drop down, test each one
Verify Edge Case - Can enter 0 min in ExecTm colum regardless of values in Status and TestSteps columns,
so long as all three columns are populated
Verify Happy Path Row Height:
1. Enter text into a TestStep column
2. Click Alt+Enter to automatically increase row height to two rows
3. Key in some text, and hit Alt+Enter several more times until you have 5 or 6 rows of text
4. Click Enter to save the text
Expected: Row height auto-snaps to fit all the text (up to about 20+ rows is Excel limit)

Verify Edge Case - Adding an "I" status row counts towards execution time, but not towards test case count
1. Enter Test Case #1 with 5min, Pass, and blah blah description
2. Confirm TestResults total = 0.1hr time and 1 for count
3. Enter Test Case #2 with 5min, status= "i" (important), and TestSteps = blah blah blah
Expected:
a) The ExecTm total will increase to 0.2hr because we want to count all time, including setup test case and research test case
steps, especially when they occur the first time as writing up the cases...subsequent test runs will be zeroed out time wise, but
want to reflect the effort in the test run for which they occur.
b) IMPORTANT, the total test case count remains at 1 because the second test case is an "i" or informational / research / setup
test case...it does NOT count towards total test cases, but the time does count towards the Test Run.

Verify Edge Case - I can make my own Sub Sections by changing back color
1. Enter ExecTm = 0min
2. Enter Status = "i" (IMPORTANT)
3. Enter Test Step = "My Heading Blah Blah Blah"
4. Highlight cells for that test case, columns 2, 3, and 4 (ExecTm, Stat, and TestSteps)
5. Set back color to light orange (or whatever color suits your fancy)
Expected: All three columns change backcolor (including status = i cell). This allows you to mark sections in the test case area

Verify Negative Test: Selecting any Status other than "i" in prior column will override the backcolor setting it to the
appropriate backcolor for the given value (eg: Fail = red, pass = green, etc.)
Cleanup: Delete values in test case and reset color back to pale yellow (255, 255, 231 RGB)
Verify background of "Form" area is white
Verify Reset all status = "T" (search and replace exact match on "P" to "T", leave "F" and "B" as reminder where problems
exist)
Verify lots of empty rows is no problem, all counts are unaffected

TEST RUN LOG TAB

Verify many fields: Run#, Test Run Description, Date, ExecTim, Test Cases (ToDo, Block, Fail, Pass, Total),
and Defects (OpenStop, OpenAllow, Defer, Closed, and Total)
Verify each field has a light yellow text entry box,
EXCEPT the two totals fields (TestCases and Defects sections) -- they are both gray
Verify each text entry box when clicked highlights the entire cell (cells merged)
Verify background of "Form" area is white
Verify background of NON "Form" area is dim gray
Verify can setup 1 & 2 Test Runs in the Test Run Log:
1. Descr="Run #1", Date=2 days ago, ExecTm = 1.8hr, TestCases=0,0,8,39; Defects=6,4,0,0
2. Descr="Run #2", Date=1 days ago, ExecTm = 0.5hr, TestCases=5,2,5,11; Defects=1,1,1,4

Verify can insert a new Test Run:

1. Highlight row with Test Run #2
2. Ctrl+C
3. Right-click > Insert Copied Cells (right over the top of it)
4. Alter the bottom row to read:
Descr="Run #3", Date=today, ExecTm = 0.3hr, TestCases=1,1,3,22; Defects=0,0,2,6

Double check that data looks good on Tab Reports after changes (it did not, had to make a bunch of "code" changes to the
graph formulas
Clear out the test data, and put in the real data for this testing because am ending for the night

Verify left header fields Company and Project exists

Verify all graph elements range from rows 5 thru 6 (not 6 to 7, or 6 to 8, etc.)
Verify left column graphs are all Test Case related
Verify right column graphs are all Defect related
Verify all graphs are populated, and numbers in tables match numbers on charts
Verify all graphs are blank on the template b/c no data
Verify 3 defect logging locations for optional eamil copy-paste tracking:
1. Defects currently opened
2. Defects closed since last report
3. Defects closed since project started

Verify chart colors all match rest of tool (red = fail or open or bad; green = pass or good, blue = todo, gray = defer, yellow =
block, and dark gray = closed defect)
Verify print preview = landscape, and width fits 1 page across for graphs and defect lists
Verify margins are custom, and 0.5' all four sides
Verify page all white so can print (no dim gray outside of page boundaries else risk wasting lots of toner if print
Verify functions not accidentally include other workbook references since copy-pasted between sample & template

To add a new Test Run (row):

1. Highlight and copy the entire last row
2. Right-click itself for a popup menu to appear
3. Select "insert copied cells" to paste / insert the row onto itself
4. The graphs all auto-adjust (inserting a new item)
5. You type in the new values over in the old values in the "new" bottom row
