Safety Information
This is training presentation, reference information is in Official Technical Guides.

▪ It is advisable to read all the Safety

Information, all the time before trying to
Install, Operate, Service or Maintain it.
▪ Electrical equipment should be installed,
operated, serviced and maintained only
by qualified personnel.
▪ Work with facility IT System
Administrators to ensure that the system
adheres to the site-specific cybersecurity
policies.

Failure to follow these instructions can result

in death, serious injury, or equipment
damage.

Internal
• Add / Configure MiCOM C264
▪ Under SCS / IEDs
Add from Object Entry window

Note1 : use C264 configured in starting database

Note2 : create new C264 by copy/paste of existing one

MV transmission cycle on SBUS and

LHMI
Long period = N x short period
Transmission periods are used if MV is declared as “periodic”
• too small transmission periods values has impact on size of SQL Historian database (in case of too many
values stored)
• Start configuration with few MV sent ( and add more only on customer request)
• Check first with long cycles how MVs are changing then later configure MVs to be sent on modification
according to deadband …

Note : Applicable for single or double counters

▪ Miscellaneous Tab

Avoid endless C264 reboot on fault detection, define

a number of faults acceptable during a period.

Example : after 5 major faults during one hour , the

C264 will stop (and not reboot)
