DCS Integration and plant startup with DCS, MAT closure, FAT
and SAT closure.
3. Sulphuric Acid & Powerplant project for Maaden- Saudi Arabia
Project Description : The project is to develop OTS for
“Maaden, Saudi Arabia” using OmegaLand simulator and
integrating the model with Yokagawa Centum VP DCS.
Maaden SAP plant has a capacity of 5050MTPD.Maaden
Power-plant consists of two STG with a rated capacity of
2*81.6 MW.

Responsibilities : Model development, Steady state capture,


Development of third-party logics in model, DCS Integration
and plant startup with DCS, MAT closure, FAT and SAT closure.

4. Insalah Gas project -Algeria


Project Description: The project is to develop OTS for “In
Salah Gas, Algeria “using OmegaLand and integrating the
model with Yokagawa Centum CS3000 DCS.Model consists of
two parallel trains of gas turbine driven 2Stage compression
and its associated equipment like Inlet separator, Inlet cooler
and Discharge coolers and Gas dehydration facilities.

Responsibilities: Model development and steady state


capture, and Integration of model with CS-3000DCS,
Startup/Shutdown of plant, MAT closure, FAT closure and SAT
closure.

5. Seawater Reverse Osmosis Project for Marafiq- Saudi Arabia


Project Description: The project is to develop OTS for
“Marafiq, Saudi Arabia” using OmegaLand simulator and
integrating the model with Yokagawa Centum VP DCS. SWRO-
4 Model consists of pretreatment facilities of sea water using
Dissolved Air floatation, Disk Filter and Ultra filtration
technologies. Desalination of sea water is performed using
Reverse osmosis technology. SWRO Plant has a capacity of
100000 m3/day.

Responsibilities: Model Configuration and Data Entry,


Model tuning and Steady state capture, DCSIntegration, Plant
Startup/Shutdown, MAT closure, FAT and SAT closure.

6. Essar Power -MP Mahan Project (2*600MW)


Project Description: The project is to develop simulation
model for Essar power plant using Simpack and integrating
the model with ABB DCS.Essar Power plant consists of
controlled circulation drum, uses pulverized coal for fuel and
has a turbine- generator rated at 600MW.

Responsibilities: Modeling of cooling water systems,


Fuel oil systems, Lube oil cooling systems, Generator
auxiliaries, Integration of Model with ABB DCS,
Startup/Shutdown of plant, FAT closure.

❖ Project Summary
1. Hydrotreating of diesel to produce ultra-low sulfur diesel
Project Description: Hydro treating of Diesel/HVGO was
carried out to evaluate high activity new generation DHDS
catalysts from different catalyst suppliers such as Axens and
Criterion. The hydrotreating studies were conducted by
varying the process parameters such as reactor temperature,
pressure and liquid hourly space velocity.

Responsibilities: Handling of PLC system and data


compilation, operation and maintenance of Hydrotreating
pilot plant. Start up and shut down of unit.
2. Catalytic Reforming of Naphtha
Project Description: Catalytic reforming of naphtha was
performed to study the effect of naphtha using catalysts
obtained from Axens. Catalytic reforming experiments were
conducted at varying process conditions such as reaction
temperature, pressure and liquid hourly space velocity

Responsibilities: Handling of PLC system and data


compilation, operation and maintenance of catalytic reformer
pilot plant. Start up and shut down of unit.
