INTRODUCTION
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, may we have your attention please. We are about to begin
our 18th birthday party celebration so please find your seats or table and make yourselves
comfortable and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Hello ladies and gents, by the way, I am Ronel, your host for tonight’s event.

Tonight is a celebration of adulthood and a thanksgiving of the life God has given to our lovely
celebrant. We are gathered here tonight to witness the transformation of a young girl to a
beautiful lady. We are very lucky for we are chosen to be here and be part of this momentous
occasion in the debutant's life. You see her grow up. You see her smile. You see her laugh. You
see everything about her. And now you are about to see her as a grown-up lady. A lady of good
heart, character and ambition.

An 18th birthday marks almost the steps from youth to young adult, with all its relative
responsibilities. Join us as we celebrate this wonderful girl’s coming of age. Let us celebrate as
our girl become a full-bloomed lady tonight, as our girl turs 18 in a magical fairy tale
celebration.

, a little trivia, the 18 roses/tulips symbolize her 18 years and the gentlemen symbolizes her
protectors, knight in shining armor, guardian angel or what other terms you may call. These
gentlemen will protect Red from any harm or sadness. Each gentleman will hand a tulip to our

round of applause to the father, Mr. Honesto C. Obias together with our lovely debutante for
their Father and Daughter Dance!

Thank you so much. The father and daughter dance is probably one of the most loved traditions
in any Filipino debut celebration. This signifies the daughter's first step to womanhood and the
father's acceptance of this period in his daughter's life. As the debutante receives her 18 tulips let
it be a reminder that like the tulip life is beautiful, however, there are thorns that signify that life
isn't that easy for there are problems to be faced. It is up to her how she will handle these hurdles
with the support of her family and friends.

18 CANDLES
At this moment, let us now move to the 18 Candles. Let us all welcome the following persons
who will share their wishes, messages, and offer Candles of Enlightenment which symbolizes
love and care. Of course these people will be the ones who will give her advice and kind words
along the way on how to become the best woman she can.

They then each light a candle that symbolizes light - light that will guide on her life journey.
Every candle symbolizes a year of her existence. Each one will be a visible reminder of triumph
over challenges in life. Serves as an eternal lamp that brings her optimistic view of the world
