    PRACTICAL-IMAGE EDITING TOOL

    GREETING CARD FOR BIRTHDAY

    AIM:

    To design a greeting card for birthday using different text effects .

    PROCEDURE:

    Step 1:

    Open adobe photoshop application.

    Step 2:

    Open a new document.

    Step 3:

    In the new document dialog box open set the name of the document to
    card.
    Step 4:

    Set the size to 8inches width by 10.5 inches high with a portrait
    orientation.

    Step 5:

    Set the Resolution to 100 pixels/inch.

    Step 6:

    Set the background color.

    Step 7:

    Click ok to close the new document dialog box.

    1. Selling the ruler units:


    The card setup the next step is indicate the margins and where the
    card will fold.
     View – ruler
     If the ruler measurement is not inches ,open the Edit-
    photoshop prefence – units & rulers.
     And change the ruler me measurement to inches.
     Click ok.
    2. Adding the guide to create margin areas :
     Add horizontal guide at the 0.5, 4.75, 2.5, 5.75, and
    10 inches marks on the ruler.
     Add vertical guide at the 0.5 and 8 inches mark the ruler.
     The guide at the 5.25 inch mark is the fold.
    3. Adding and formatting the text in the greeting card:
     Select the text tool click once in the area and enter your text.
     In this card it is “Happy Birthday to you!” it create new
    text layer.
     Choose the font, style, size and alignment.
     Example: 48pt,MT BLOD
     Ctrl +t transformation to your text.
    4. Adding effects to the text:
    1. Right click – text layer –blending options
    a. Select –
    b. Bevel & Emboss

    (the effect you want to apply the text click ok)

    c. Select –stroke

    (stroke effect the border of the text click ok)

    2. Select “styles” form the menu on right and the effect you want
    to apply the text.
    3. Click ok
    4. Save the image
    5. Close the adobe photoshop

    FILTER EFFECTS TO AN IMAGE

    AIM
    :
    To apply various filter effects to an image.

    PROCEDURE:

    Step 1:

    Open adobe photoshop application.

    Step 2:

    Open a new image (ctrl + o).


    Step 3:
    Select image – fit the image.

    Step 4:

    Layer – Remove the lock.

    Step 5:

    Ctrl + j [the duplicate layer open].

     Image tool the image will change in black &white.


     Image tool – adjustment – invert select your option.

    Step 7:

    Layer – select your option [color dodge]

    Step 8:

    Filter – Blur – Gaussion Blur – change the pixel size with dialog box .

    Step 9:

    Click ok.

    COLLEGE CALENDAR USING A GRADIENT TOOL

    AIM:

    To design the front page of the college calendar using a gradient .

    PROCEDURE:

    1. Select the layer front the layer part and make the selection that we want
    to apply the gradient.

    2. Select the gradient tool from the tools panel until the gradient tool
    be comes active.

    3. Select one of the proset gradients from the gradients picker drop –
    down panel on the option bar.

    4. Select the gradient type by clicking one of the icons on the option

    . 5.Linear blends the color to end color in a straight line.


    *Radial: Blends the colors out ward in a circular potion.

    *Angle: Create a counter swap around the starting point resembling a


    Rader

    *Reflected: Blends the colors by using symmetrical linear gradients


    on there slide of the Starting point.

    *Diamond: Blends the colors out ward in the layer or selection where
    you want to place the starting color of the gradient.

    5. Choose any other option you want from the option bar.

    6. Place the cursor at the position in the layer where you want to
    place the starting color of the gradient .

    7. Drag in any direction to the point you want to place the end

    color. 8.Release the mouse button to the apply the gradient.

    9. Click- text tool.

    10. Close the adobe photoshop.

    PATTERN USING PATTERN STAMP TOOL AND CLONE TOOL

    AIM:

    To create a pattern using pattern stamp tool and clone tool.

    PROCEDURE:

    1. Pattern stamp tool:


     Open the adobe photoshop application.
     Click ctrl+ o
     Select an image
     We also make a picture to be a pattern – define pattern.
     Select stamp tool – pattern stamp tool
     Select you option in the pattern stamp tool.
     Click to open pattern picker – select your pattern.
     Ctrl+ n open a new document
     Click and drag on the document to get patterns.
     Save the image
     Close the adobe photoshop.
    2. Close stamp tool :
     Select an image ctrl+ o
     Select image you want to clone
     Remove the lock
     Select stamp tool – clone stamp tool
     Stamp the brush size using the brush present picker in
    the options bor.
     Select the aligned options
     Hold down alt and click on the part of the image you want
    to clone.
     Release alt
     Move the cursor to different part of the image then click
    and drag
     Close adobe photoshop.

    AIM:

    To design a webpage layout

    PROCEDURE:

    1.Open the adobe photoshop application.

    2.Open a new document ctrl +N


    3.Select – shape tool – rectangle shape tool

    4.Create the rectangle box to the document

    5. Right click the shape layer select the blending option and the effect
    you want to apply the shape.

    6. Select – text tool to insert text to layers.

    7.Select – rectangle tool

    Insert layer for rectangle in search box.

    8. Insert URL search design four rectangle box the type text to image
    , home, courses, results.

    9.Select – text tool

    Type the in this layout is

    Courses – ug course ,pg courses then

    Result – UG ,PU ,M.phil

    10.Design overall presentation.

    11.Stop the process.

    12.close adobe photoshop.

    BUNCH OF FLOWERS

    AIM:

    To design a bunch of flowers

    PROCEDURE:

    1. Open the adobe photoshop application


    2. Ctrl +o
    3. Select the flowers image
    4. Remove the lock
    5. Select magnetic lasso tool
    [select the part which you want click – enter ]
    6. Open a new document
    7. Remove the lock
    8. Drag the image and put it picture to document [left click to drag
    the image]
    9. Repeat this process to get as many flowers to make a bunch of flowers
    10.Save the image
    11.Close the adobe photoshop .

    PLASTIC SURGERY

    AIM:

    To program simulate plastic surgery on many part of the face.

    PROCEDURE:

    1. Start the adobe photoshop application


    2. Ctrl + o – select the picture
    3. Select any part of the face[nose point]
    4. Pen roll using the nose
    5. Crop the nose using the crop tool
    6. Ctrl +t – transform
    7. Alignment the nose
    8. Sit the correct place
    9. Stop the process
    10.Close the adobe photoshop.

    To create see through text

    PROCEDURE:
    1. Click ctrl +o
    2. Remove the lock – double click the layer lock will be removes
    3. Fit the image – press F
    4. Select – text tool, font – copper block
    5. Choose center alignment
    6. Layer – 0 – fill
    7. Right click the text layer
    [select – blending option – bevel and emboss]
    8. Depth :1000

    Soften:1

    9.click – angle box – glow center

    10.Change linear option to ring

    11. High light mode – linear

    1.opacity value -35

    12.Shadow mode –linear burn

    1.opcity value -35

    13.Blending option – drop shadow

    1.opcity value -30

    15.Center will change to ring

    BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO TO COLOR PHOTO

    AIM:

    To convert black and white photo to color photo.

    PROCEDURE:

    1. Click ctrl +o

    2. select an black white image

    3.Fit the image the layer

    4. Double click the layer the lock will be removed

    5. select quick selection tool

    6.Right click and select the part to convert the color.

    7. we also use the add to selection and subtract from selection to the

    tool 8.select the layer menu

    Layer – new fill layer – select the dialog box will open click ok select the

    Color.
    9.Layer select your option – overloading the color apply to the image.

    10.Click ok.

    FILL TEXT WITH AN IMAGE

    AIM:

    To fill a text with an appropriate image

    PROCEDURE:

    1. Click ctrl +o
    2. Select the image
    3. Fit the image – press F
    4. Double click the layer and the lock will be removed
    5. Select the text tool[font – import]
    6. Type the text and align to the center
    7. Right click the layer
    8. Select – blending option
    *Drop shadow
    *Inner shadow
    *Stock

    9. Long press the left button the more the image layer to the top

    10. Right click the image layer image layer- create clipping mask.

    11. Click ok
