6𝑥 − 11𝑦 − 13 = 0 𝑖𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒.
3.If the two lines 𝟑𝒙 + 𝟐𝒚 + 𝟑 = 𝟎 and 𝟒𝒙 − 𝒌𝒚 + 𝟐 = 𝟎 are perpendicular then
find the value of k?
Solution:
Given 𝑙1 3𝑥 + 2𝑦 + 3 = 0 and 𝑙2 4𝑥 − 𝑘𝑦 + 2 = 0 then
𝑎 3 𝑎 4 4
𝑚1 = − 𝑏 = − 2 and 𝑚2 = − 𝑏 = − −𝑘 = 𝑘
