Which of the two websites is frequently visited by netizens? Why?

Sustaining an ICT Project for Social Change

Having a website entails a lot of responsibilities. It requires frequent

care, protection, and supervision. If ignored, it becomes unattractive and
worst it causes of losing your visitors. So here are the following tips to
maintain your website and increase traffic:
1. Choose the right website builder.
Success starts with the right foundation. As of now, there are so many
available website builders that will help us to create, design, develop,
launch, manage, administer, and monitor website content. In choosing
a website builder, you must consider the functionality, content
management, pricing, SEO features, compatibility, and social media
integration.

2. Update Regularly
Updating the content increases the relevance of the site. You can update
by posting recent events and news about your advocacy to make your
site more likeable to your visitors. Updating and maintaining your
website makes it up and running.

3. Give it a Makeover.
Looks is very important in the web. Study shows that people judge a
website based on its homepage and overall design. So, we should find
time to make our website more appealing and organize. You can make
your website more engaging by keeping the layout simple, making
navigation easy to follow, use clear calls to action, use attractive and
easy-to-read fonts, enhance website design with eye-catching colors,
and engage users with video and rich images.

4. Review your content.

Content is our access to our potential visitors. Thus, the content of our
website should be free from errors. To do it, our website content should
undergo a rigorous proofreading. This ensures that the content was
edited and reviewed a couple of times. And also, in stating facts, make
sure to link it on credible sites.

5. Optimize Your Website for SEO

SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization”. This means that we must
optimize our website so that we could increase its visibility in the search
engine. The higher the visibility means the more readers or visitors can
visit your site thus increases its traffic. We can optimize our website by
producing long and value-rich content, optimizing the on/off-page SEO,
getting a quality back-links, etc.

4
6. Create a Sense of Community
With the advent of internet connectivity people now can share their
thoughts and opinions easily. This encourages the netizens to share
their thoughts on the matter that they feel most connected with. That
is why the website must have a sense of community where visitors can
express their ideas and opinions freely. This can be done through posts,
comments, forums, and threads where the visitor can communicate
with the author directly. By actively engaging the readers or visitors, it
increases the credibility and success of the website.

7. Use Social Media

Promotion is one way to improve the visibility of the site. Luckily, there
are social media sites where advertisements can be free. All you have to
do is connect, follow, and share how informative the site is.

Why Conduct a Website Evaluation Survey?

Another way to improve the sustainability of your website or an ICT
project is through survey. Survey is a systematic way of gathering data to the
corresponding group of respondents to obtain information and insights about
the website. Conducting a website evaluation addresses the following:
1. Input about the overall satisfaction with the website.
2. Insights about a particular section of the website.
3. Factors that motivate visitors to keep visiting the website.
4. Competitor analysis of your website
