for Children on the Edge
Panelist’s Session C

Create awareness about refugee and

child statelessness issues in
Malaysia
To provide understanding of gender
equality in Malaysia
To create a broader discussion with
different parties
Parallel Session F: Panel Session: Trends in
Child Protection
Panelist’s session (F)
Key takeaways

Raising awareness and promoting

action ( what does it mean to be
apart of child protection?) and
accessibility
Child marriage impacts in Malaysia
Child participation on policy
making
Lack of safe spaces (what does it
mean to be harassed)
Conclusion:
Session C:
We must realise that the refugee and statelessness issues in Malaysia is a huge problem
that must be taken into action.
Understanding the gender equality issue in Malaysia will help us see the number of
women and man struggling with their own issues.
By creating a broader discussion among all ages will help us get more ideas to improve
our current world that is still developing, Malaysia.
Conclusion:
Session F:
To be apart of child protection is to be given a safe space in terms of health, wellbeing
and safety. Every child no matter their differences should have full access to these rights.
Every child should have the right to decide what he/she wants to do with her body and
their future life.
To give a child the opportunity to participate is another way to give them safety in terms
of being harassed as they are given more authority to speak up for themselves.
