Cabay National High School (NHS) kicked off the Brigada Eskwela 2024 with a series of activities aimed at promoting health and
wellness among its students. The event started with a lively zumba session, encouraging students to stay active and prioritize their physical
well-being. Led by fitness instructors, the zumba session aimed to instill the importance of regular exercise in maintaining a healthy
lifestyle.
In addition to promoting physical health, Cabay NHS also organized a feeding program in collaboration with Congress woman
Helen Tan and the Sangguniang Barangay. With the support of Hon. Ronald Guerra and Hon. Ryan Haplit, the school provided nutritious
meals to students, ensuring that they have access to proper nourishment and healthy food options. The feeding program aimed to address
issues of malnutrition and hunger, highlighting the importance of proper nutrition in supporting academic performance and overall well-
being.

opening of classes. Among the key initiatives was a reading program with the theme "CNHS teachers intensify Tara Basa program" which
aimed to promote a love for reading among students. Additionally, a numeracy program for Mathematics was also introduced to help students
improve their mathematical skills. These programs were spearheaded by CNHS, the Youth Ministry, and Brigada Heroes from the LGU Tupad
program.
The purpose of these initiatives was to ensure that students are equipped with the necessary literacy and numeracy skills to succeed in their
academic pursuits. By intensifying the Tara Basa program, CNHS teachers aimed to foster a culture of reading among students, which is
