2. When installing the filter, confirm the inlet and outlet sides, then connect up the filter with the inlet facing
down.
3. Provide space at the top of the filter to permit the element to be withdrawn for maintenance and
inspection.
4. After installing the filter and flushing the system, be sure to wash or replace the element before
commencing operation.
5. Before commencing operation, confirm that there is no leakage from any of the seals.

【1】Handling of accessories (differential pressure indicators)

1. A piece of transparent plastic is used as the peep window of the differential pressure indicator. Be very
careful not to allow organic solvents to come into contact with it, or damage it with a spanner, and so
on.
2. The differential pressure indicator has been readjusted. Do not, therefore, disassemble it.

3. Remove cord rubber plug ④, then perform wiring according to the following procedure.
3-1. Using a connector, or the like, connect the plane terminals of the micro switch to either the NO or NC
contacts. Do not remove the micro switch from the switch box. Use the plane
connector(receptacle #187)or solder for the wiring. Upon completion of wiring work, install box
cover ③ by gradually tightening up the four small cross‐recessed pan head ②.
3-2. Cut the connecting cord to a sufficient length so that the filter can be disassembled easily.
3-3. Insert the switch box until there is no clearance at the top of the cover assembly, then arbitrarily
decide upon its mounting direction, and fix it in position by screwing up the two small cross‐
recessed pan head screws ①.

3. Maintenance and inspection

During operation, if the pressure rises to 20kPa , the indicator ring(red)of the differential pressure indicator
floats up into full view through the peep window, or an electrical signal is emitted due to the operation of a
differential pressure indicator switch, stop operation, disassemble the filter according to the following
procedure, and wash the element(or replace it if washing is ineffective). When using the suction filter in
winter, or at other times when the temperature is low, the pressure will often become high due to high oil
viscosity. Accordingly, after commencing normal operation, check to see whether or not the pressure rise is
due to clogging of the filter. When using a differential pressure indicator switch to insert a clogging signal
into the sequence circuit, design the system in such a way that a clogging signal is not emitted until the
commencement of normal operation.

【1】Removal of element
1. Slacken hexagonal recessed head bolts ⑩, and remove cover ③.
2. Remove wave washer ⑦ and element ⑨ from case ①.
3. Remove oil receptacle packing ⑧ installed on the element which was removed.

【2】Mounting of element
1. Check to see whether or not the various“O”rings and packing are damaged, deformed, swollen or
hardened. If any“O”ring or packing is abnormal, replace it.
2. Install oil receptacle packing ⑧ on element ⑨.
3. Set the element on which the packing has been installed, in casing ①.
4. Set wave washer ⑦ on the top of the end plate at the top of the element.
5. Set“O”rings ② and ⑥ on cover ③, install the cover on casing ①, then bolt it in place using hexagonal
recessed head bolts ⑩.
6. Confirm that there is no leakage from seal portions, then commence normal operation.
7. Be sure to reset the differential pressure indicator after washing or replacing the element. Differential
pressure indicator switch ⑰ is an automatic return(non-reset)type.
