Abstract: Sharing knowledge has become more than merely imparting knowledge

in lectures and classrooms in the era of information technology. It has become a

popular way for people to acquire new skills and knowledge. People must learn
from and impart knowledge to one another as knowledge grows more varied and
complicated. This is because knowledge is the cornerstone of human development,
particularly for young people, who make up the majority of the workforce in
society. The purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanisms influencing
young people in Vietnam's intentions and behavior toward knowledge sharing. A
survey comprising 206 individuals aged 18 to 30 was carried out. Software called
Smart PLS 4.0 is used to process the gathered data. The findings indicate that
knowledge sharing behavior is positively influenced by external personality traits
and attitudes regarding knowledge sharing. Conversely, outsiders, the desire to
assist others, the idea of reciprocal benefit, and reputational awareness all have an
impact on one's attitude toward sharing knowledge. On the other hand, travel
intention is unaffected by one's level of confidence in one's ability to learn. Many
conclusions and recommendations have been made to improve young people in
Vietnam's knowledge-sharing behavior going forward based on the study's
findings.

1. Introduction
"Knowledge" - The key to the future. With its core values, the importance of
knowledge is becoming more and more evident as the leaps of human civilisation
constantly emerge as the core element of knowledge. Thus, along with the search
for and supplementation of knowledge, man has also been interested in managing,
retaining, and communicating knowledge between man and man. Knowledge
sharing is a very important issue and is a topic of research interest worldwide (Gold
et al, 2001; Rafique et al, 2020). When searching for the keyword “knowledge
sharing” on the Google search page, there were 42,300,000 results in 0.29 seconds.
This shows that, throughout the world in general and in Vietnam in particular,
sharing knowledge is a topic of interest, especially when people always have a need
to develop themselves and expand their knowledge.
As knowledge becomes more diverse and complex, it requires people to learn and
share knowledge with each other. Young people are a young, dynamic workforce,
always sensitive to changes in society, thus able to absorb and apply new
knowledge quickly. Therefore, research into the factors that influence the
knowledge sharing behaviour of young people in Vietnam is necessary to promote
the development of thinking, fill the knowledge gap, and contribute to improving
the quality of learning, research, and development of youth, thus creating valuable
resources for society. Based on the social cognitive theory, the social exchange
theory, and the dynamic theory of knowledge-sharing behavior, The topic proposed
a research model of three independent variables, one intermediate variable, and one
dependent variable to clarify the factors affecting the knowledge-sharing behaviour
of young people in Vietnam. From there, a number of solutions and petitions were
proposed, contributing to supporting knowledge sharing behaviour among young
people in Vietnam.
