Activity 1: File Management

Open the document History of Computers which contains a brief history about computers.
Make the following changes:

1. Set the print options as follows:

(a) The printer must only print one page. (1)

(b) The printed pages must NOT be collated. (1)

(c) Make a screenshot of the printer settings above and paste it at the bottom of the (1)
document.

2 Save the document as an .rtf file named History of Computers. (1)

3. Save the document as a text file named History of Computers. (1)

Activity 2: Word Processing

1. Open the document Africa Facts.


1.1 Replace all occurrences of the words ‘South Africa’ with ‘Azania’ formatted in (3)
red and bold.

1.2 Replace all the forward slashes ‘/’ in the document with an 'en-dash' (2)

1.3 Copy the information in the Africa File document and paste it under the heading (2)
‘Africa File’ on the last page. Ensure that the format of the names matches the
format of the rest of the text in the document

1.4 Paste the document Africa File as an icon and ensure that it is updated when (3)
the original document is updated.

1.5 Apply any Design theme of your choice to the document. (1)
2. Open the document World War II and format it as follows.

2.1 Insert an automatic cover page at the start of the document. (1)

2.2 Type the words ‘The World War’ in the 'Title' control of the inserted (1)

2.3 Insert a date control and choose the current date. (2)

2.4 Delete all the other controls. (1)

3. Insert a next page section break before the ‘Gallery’ heading. (1)

4. Insert page numbers as follows:


The page numbers must appear at the bottom of the page except on the first page
(cover page).
Restart the numbering of the last page using lower case Roman numerals (5)
(i, ii, iii).
