INTRODUCTION

 Vijay Mallya is an Indian businessman known for his ventures in the liquor
and aviation industries.
 Once hailed as the “King of Good Times” due to his extravagant lifestyle and
the success of his businesses, became one of the most controversial figures
in India due to financial scandals surrounding him.

 Born on 18th December , 1955 in Bantwal, karnataka.


 Father’s Name – Late Shri. Vittal Mallya
 Mother’s Name- Smt. Lalitha Mallya
 Educational Qualification-
 B.Com Degree in St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata .
 Doctorate of Philosophy in Business Administration .

 Vijay Mallya was the chairman of United Breweries Group, which had diverse
interest including aviation and alcohol.
 His airlines , Kingfisher Airlines, launched in 2005, was a major venture that
aimed redefining luxury air travel in India.
 However , despite its initial popularity , the airline began facing financial
troubles.

banks despite of poor financial health of Kingfisher Airlines.

impacting its ability to meet short- term obligations such as employee
salaries, fuel payments and maintenance costs.

identify and mitigate financial risks, preventing crisis.
