01 Articles a/an
Articles a and an have the same meaning, but
the difference depends on the sound at the
begining of the next word.

a -When the next word starts with a


consonant sound
Examples:
a university a car a door

an -When the next word starts with


a vowel sound
Examples:

an umbrella an egg an ice cream


02 Personal pronouns
Personal pronouns refer to one person of thing
that is singular or plural.

Personal pronouns indicate the gender of the


nouns they present.

Pronouns:
There are three genders:
-Masculine
-Femenine
-Neuter gender

Examples:

Girl-She(ella)
You- Tu
Glass-It(cosa)

She- Ella
They- Ellos
We- Nosotros

We use the verb tobe in present to talk about age
nationalities feelings and phiysical appearance
characteristics

We have three forms for the verb to be:
