Inc

Background of the study::

For the last two decades Amazon.com has been serving customers worldwide.
Amazon.com was founded by Jeff Bezos back in 1995. The founders' vision was to

bookstore to the doorstep of the people around the world. All people has to do is search
and select the desired book. It took 30 days to deliver books to the customers of 50
states and 45 countries.

Statement of the problem:

The statement of the problem in this study is not clearly defined but as is evident
from the context, the gap is there exists a significant lack of knowledge of how
Management Information Systems (MIS), the backbone of modern companies, are
being managed in Amazon, one of the world's largest online retailers. The present
research aims to identify and analyze the MIS practices in Amazon and its effect on the
decision making, operational efficiency and customer service.
Solution:

From the content of the study, the study does not seem to point out particular
approaches to data breach deals. But, it also illustrates how data security and privacy
occurs in Amazon's MIS operations. Amazon's MIS practices incorporate the use of
encryption, access controls, and monitoring systems to safeguard the data and
confidentiality. Security experts designated by the company also perform the role of
identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities. In the event of a data breach, Amazon
has a detailed incident response plan, which is already established. This plan includes
measures, like finding the breach, containing it, and informing the affected parties. As
well, the company partners with the law enforcement to trace and punish cybercrime
perpetrators.

In general, the MIS procedures of Amazon are all about data security and
privacy, therefore, the company approaches data problems from all angles.

Conclusion:

The research proves that Amazon is the world's most well-known online
marketplace that radically changed the industry and only in several years has grown
from the small business to a Fortune 100 company with operation in various part of the
world. The study also places a great emphasis on the role played by Amazon's
Management Information Systems (MIS) in its business operations, one that is designed
to effectively collect, process and communicate large volumes of data. The concluding
paragraph of the study provides ideas on the performance measures and discussions
on challenges associated with MIS. In general, the study reveals Amazon as the
greatest and most successful organization of the current world.
