The sounds of Jakarta’s glittering cityscape ring loudly in the ears.

The relentless
hustle and bustle of vehicles, the bright neon lights, and the tantalizing aroma of
street food. Amidst the hustle and bustle, two hearts from different backgrounds are
trying to find the meaning of true love.

Alya, a seventeen-year-old girl, is an independent and hardworking teenager. She


lives with her mother in a small apartment in the suburbs. Every day after school,
Alya works part-time at a café to help support her family. She realizes the
importance of working hard and always tries to give her best in everything she does.

On the other hand, there is Ryan, an eighteen-year-old young man who lives in luxury.
His father was a successful businessman who owned many luxury restaurants
across the city. However, behind all that wealth, Ryan felt lonely. His life felt empty
without genuine affection. He longed for a relationship that meant more than just
wealth and luxury.

One day, while Alya was serving customers at the café where she worked, Ryan
came in to order a cup of coffee. Their eyes met for a moment, and there was
something in that gaze that made Alya’s heart beat faster. Ryan also felt the same
way. There was a strong magnetism that drew them to each other.

“Can I get a cup of black coffee?” asked Ryan with a smile that made Alya a little
nervous.

“Sure, one black coffee. Anything else?” Alya tried to maintain her professionalism
despite her racing heart.

“ No, that’s all. Thank you,” Ryan replied while giving an alluring smile.

After that, Ryan often came to the cafe. At first, he just sat quietly while enjoying
the coffee, but over time they started chatting. From light conversations about the
weather to deep chats about dreams and hopes. Alya and Ryan found comfort in
their togetherness.
Ryan is attracted to Alya’s determination and independence, while Alya is fascinated
by Ryan’s humility despite coming from a wealthy family. They complement each
other in unique ways. Alya teaches Ryan the meaning of hard work and responsibility,
while Ryan shows Alya that life is not all about struggle, but also about enjoying the
good moments.

One afternoon, after the cafe closed, Ryan took Alya for a walk in the city park. They
sat on a park bench, overlooking the serene lake. The twinkling city lights in the
distance created a romantic atmosphere.

“Alya, I feel so lucky to know you,” Ryan said in a soft voice.

“ I feel the same way, Ryan. You make me see life from a different perspective,”
Alya replied with a smile.

Ryan took Alya’s hand and looked deeply into her eyes. “ I know this might sound
fast, but I really like you. I want us to be more than just friends.”

Alya felt a warmth creep into her heart. She felt the same way, but there were doubts
clouding her mind. How could two worlds so different come together?

“ Ryan, I like you too. But I’ m afraid we’ re too different. Our worlds are not the
same,” Alya said honestly.

“We are different, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be together. We can learn and
support each other. I want to try, if you do too,” Ryan replied firmly.

After pondering for a moment, Alya finally nodded. “All right, Ryan. Let’s try.”

They spent the next few days together, getting to know each other better. Ryan often
helped Alya at the cafe, and Alya took Ryan to the simple places she frequented.
They found happiness in simplicity and togetherness.
However, their relationship was not always smooth. There were many obstacles they
had to face, especially from Ryan’s family who did not agree with their relationship.
Ryan’s father considered Alya inappropriate for his son who came from a respected
family. Alya felt depressed and thought of ending their relationship for Ryan’s sake.

One night, while Alya was brooding on the balcony of her apartment, Ryan came in
with a determined face. “Alya, I don’t care what my family says. I love you and I want
us to stay together. I will fight for us,” Ryan said in a firm voice.

Alya was moved to hear Ryan’s determination. “ Ryan, I love you too. But, I don’t
want to be a burden to you.”

“You are not a burden, Alya. You are my strength and inspiration. With you, I feel like
my life has more meaning,” Ryan replied while holding Alya’s hand tightly.

With strong faith and love, they faced all challenges together. Gradually, Ryan’s
family began to accept Alya and saw how genuine their love was. They realized that
Ryan’s happiness was the most important thing.

Time passed, and their love matured. They learned that true love is not about
perfection, but about accepting each other’s flaws and strengths. Alya and Ryan
continued to walk together, crafting dreams and hopes amidst the glittering city of
Jakarta.

On a beautiful night, under the light of the stars, Ryan proposed to Alya with a simple
but meaningful ring. “Alya, will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives
together?”

Alya looked at Ryan with teary eyes and a smile full of happiness. “Yes, Ryan. I want
to.”

They hugged tightly, feeling the warmth of the love they had fought for. Alya and
Ryan have proven that true love can overcome all differences and obstacles. They
promise to always be together, loving and supporting each other, amidst the
glittering city that witnesses their love journey.
