Problem Statement: Revolutionizing Urban Areas

Surveillance System Improvement:
Upgrading the street lamps and light poles throughout the urban city for
prevention and immediate indication to security forces in case of crimes.
Upgrading them by using technology like AI, ML, IoT and Data Analytics.
1. Installing the micro cameras to detect any crime activity or an accident in live
and alerting the health and police forces for immediate action.
2. We can develop a ML model which can identify the crime activity with
accuracy.
3. Using IoT we can process the data between computer vision sensors and
security systems.
4. The raw data can be analysed to find patterns and given to ML model from
time to time to avoid anomalies.
The light poles can be improved by designing them with plastic solar panels
and we can use the latest developed Light Pole Wind Turbine Model
 Light pole wind turbine model to design them which can run not only
on the traditional electricity but also on the Solar and Wind energy by
installing both systems on a single device.
 Beneficial for environment and lowers the crime rates and gives an
immediate indication in case of accidents.
Benefits
 Enhanced Crime Detection
 Rapid Response
 Efficient Data Processing
 Pattern Recognition
 Sustainable Energy
 Environmental Impact
Energy Conservation from every Household:
Every house needs to be equipped with energy conservation system automated
or manually by giving a choice.
Smart homes don’t necessarily mean using an AI assistant to give commands
for operating electrical appliances.
We can install different types of renewable energy collecting systems like solar
panels which are to be replaced every 30 years and Vertical axis turbines the
source of wind energy which can also be operated during low wind speeds
which are to be checked every 20 years.
Using sensors to switch from one energy source to another using AI and IoT we
can supply the electricity to appliances in homes.
This can be manually switched or automatic transition making every household
a multi-renewable energy conservation system behaving as an individual
entity.
Benefits
 Promotes Energy Independence: Households generate their own power,
reducing reliance on external sources.
 Reduces Energy Costs: Utilizing renewable energy sources lowers
electricity bills.
 Enhances Sustainability: Decreases carbon footprint and supports
environmental conservation.
 Increases Reliability: Ensures a continuous power supply with automated
or manual switching between energy sources.
 Empowers Homeowners: Provides control and flexibility over energy
management, adapting to individual preferences.
Smart Recycling and Waste Management:
Upgrade the urban waste management system to a more efficient and
sustainable model using IoT, AI, and data analytics technologies.
1. Smart Bins
Install IoT-enabled waste bins that monitor fill levels in real-time and
categorize waste as organic, recyclable, or non-recyclable. These smart
bins send alerts to the central waste management system when they
need to be emptied, ensuring timely collection and preventing overflow.
2. Optimized Collection Routes
Develop AI algorithms to create efficient waste collection routes using
real-time data from smart bins. Routes are updated based on current
traffic conditions and bin fill levels, reducing fuel consumption and travel
time.
3. Automated Sorting
Implement AI-powered sorting machines at waste processing facilities to
identify and separate recyclable materials from waste. Analysed data
from the sorting process improves recycling rates and reduces
contamination.
4. Public Engagement and Incentives
Launch a mobile app to encourage residents to participate in waste
management by providing information on waste segregation, recycling
locations, and waste reduction tips. The app rewards users for recycling
and proper waste disposal with points, discounts, or other incentives.
Benefits
 Enhances urban cleanliness and reduces environmental impact.
 Optimizes waste management operations and lowers operational costs.
 Increases recycling rates and reduces landfill waste.
 Promotes community participation in sustainable practices.
One-Stop Urban Services Platform:
Develop a unified platform that combines multiple public services, offering
residents easy access to information and services while improving the
efficiency of public service delivery.
1. Centralized Service Portal
Create an easy-to-use online portal or app for accessing public services
like paying bills and reporting issues. The portal has clear navigation and
categorized services for easy use.
2. Predictive Maintenance
Use sensors and AI to monitor roads and utilities in real-time. AI predicts
maintenance needs and alerts teams to schedule repairs.
3. Citizen Feedback and Engagement
Provide tools for citizens to give feedback, participate in surveys, and
report issues with updates. Allow virtual meetings and forums for
citizens to share opinions and contribute to decisions.
4. Real-time Information and Alerts
Offer real-time updates on emergencies, public transport, traffic, and
weather. Personalize notifications based on user preferences and
location.

Benefits
 Simplifies access to public services and improves response times.
 Enhances convenience for residents.
 Increases infrastructure reliability and reduces downtime.
 Encourages citizen participation in governance.
