1. Staff Excellence Awards - Technical & Non-Technical Staff/Officer:

Staff Excellence Awards

[Technical & Non-Technical Staff/Officer]

The Staff Excellence Award is introduced in 2024 and is given annually. It is awarded to
the Staff of the NIT Warangal to recognise the excellent contributions made by the staff for
the high-quality service rendered towards the overall development of the institute including
administration and maintenance of the facilities. There are THREE awards for each of the
following 5 categories.

Award:

Self-nominations are invited from the staff and officer of the institute for the following
categories of awards.

Each award consists of a certificate and cash prize. The certificate of appreciation will be put on
record in personal file of the staff member(s). Awards will be presented by the Director on the
Independence Day.

Formation of selection committee:

A selection committee with four to five members will be constituted by the Director.

Selection Process:

The selection committee will primarily consider the impact that applicants have had in their
workplace, and/or on the wider technical landscape. Applicant may have demonstrated impact in
several ways, including but not limited to the following.

 Application of knowledge and understanding


 Professionalism
 Teamwork
 Contributing to a sustainable technical development

The contribution will be evaluated based on following points with specific weightage associated with
them.

A call of application towards the staff awards will be floated for the award in July in every calendar
year. Application can be submitted through ONLINE. Application has THREE Parts i.e. (a) Information
filled by the Applicant (b) Recommendations of the Head of the Department/Reviewing officer (c)
Recommendation by PIC/Reporting officer. Please use the following link to apply online. The

some 2,000 journals and more than 6,500 new book titles every year in the STM sector.

NITW Subscription provides access to 1700+ full-text journals; the backfiles have been
available since 1997 for Springer titles. The coverage of the content is in 6 main publishing fields:
Technology & Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Material Science, Humanities
and Social Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Business and Management, and Health
Sciences.

3. Open Seminar Presentation - Department of Civil Engineering:

Mr. Ayele Adane Ayila, Roll No. 719131 under the guidance of Prof. V. Ramana Murty, Civil
Engineering Department presented his Pre-synopsis on his doctoral thesis titled “Geotechnical
characterization of weak laterite soil stabilized with non-traditional additive mixes for
flexible pavements” to DSC members on 24-7-2024 and the DSC felt that he can be allowed for
open seminar presentation. Accordingly, he will be presenting his work on 29-7-2024 (Monday)
in Room No. 716, Civil seminar hall at 3.30 PM.

All the interested faculty and research scholars are invited for the presentation.

4. Open Synopsis Seminar - Department of Chemistry:

Mr. Boligorla Anjaiah (Roll No. 719115), Full-Time Research Scholar in the Department of
Chemistry working under the supervision of Dr. Raghu Chitta (Research Supervisor) will be presenting
the open synopsis seminar of his research findings on 29.07.2024 (Monday) at 4.00 PM in the
Committee room of the Department (New MME and Sciences block). The title of his research
work is “Design and Synthesis of Panchromatic Aza-borondipyrromethenes for Solar Energy
Harvesting”.

All the interested faculty members, research scholars, and students are invited to attend the
presentation.

5. Ph.D viva-voce examination - Department of Mechanical Engineering:

Mr. Maraboina Raju, Roll No: 719050, full time research scholar in the Department of
Mechanical Engineering working under the supervision of Prof. P. Vamsi Krishna, will be defending
his Ph.D. thesis on 31st July 2024 (Wednesday) at 11.00 AM in MED Conference Hall. The Title of
the thesis is “Experimental investigations on surface integrity of ultrasonic vibration
assisted magnetic abrasive finished additively manufactured aluminium components”.
All the interested faculty members, research scholars and students are invited to attend the
viva-voce presentation.

OTHER NOTICES
1. Removing of parked Vehicles near Mathematics shed to ensure the tile laying work:

It is to inform that several employee vehicles are currently parked in the Mathematics shed,
as the tile work is underway in this area, all the parked vehicles in this area be removed immediately
to ensure the work can proceed smoothly.
