Executive Summary:

On July 4, 2024, the third day of the division training on the MATATAG curriculum
commenced with a gathering of all participants in the plenary hall. The day began
with a ceremonial singing of a patriotic song, followed by a solemn prayer, the
DepEd Quality Policy Statement, and an informative presentation on Galaw Pilipinas
via AVP. This set the stage for an engaging discussion on the MATATAG Curriculum,
focusing specifically on the Instructional Design Framework (IDF). Driven by high
energy and enthusiasm, the session started with an enjoyable activity that
effectively set a positive tone for the day's proceedings.

Following a well-deserved health break, participants transitioned into breakout

sessions tailored to their specific areas of interest. In the science room, session 7B,
centered on "MATATAG Science IDF: Pedagogy and Assessment," commenced with
a creative doll-dressing activity designed to introduce the intricacies of IDF. The
group actively engaged in this hands-on exercise, presenting their outputs before
breaking for lunch.

The afternoon resumed with a spirited zumba dance session at 1:00 p.m.,
rejuvenating the participants for the continuation of discussions on IDF. Throughout
the afternoon, various engaging activities were integrated to deepen
understanding and application of the curriculum's principles. Another health break
provided midway through the session allowed participants to refresh and
consolidate their learnings.

Session 7B followed, focusing on "MATATAG Science Walkthrough of Learning

Resources," which included additional activities aimed at enhancing
comprehension and practical application. Amidst these enriching sessions, several
logistical challenges surfaced, including weak Wi-Fi connectivity that affected
research processing, inadequate access to laptops hindering participation, and
ventilation concerns within the venue.

To address these issues for future sessions, recommendations were made to ensure
participants are equipped with adequate laptops and robust Wi-Fi connectivity to
facilitate seamless access to research materials and educational resources.
Improving ventilation with additional fans was also suggested to create a more
comfortable and conducive learning environment for all participants.

The day's activities were marked by meaningful engagement, interactive learning

experiences, and a commitment to continuous improvement within the MATATAG
curriculum framework, ensuring educators are well-prepared to enhance teaching
practices and student learning outcomes.

The fourth day wrapped up with participants engaging in processing activities and
completing the Quality Assurance Monitoring and Evaluation. This allowed for
reflection on the day's lessons and provided an opportunity for participants to offer
feedback aimed at ongoing improvement.
