BIOLOGY I
ARTIFACT 1 ARTIFACT 2
Description:

ARTIFACT 3
In Artifact 1, there's a PowerPoint presentation about the cell cycle that me and my
classmate made for our reporting. Our PowerPoint contains terms and discussion about the
phases of the Cell Cycle. It has illustrations that can help students better understand the lesson. In
discussing, it was not hard for me to discuss this lesson since I have a little background about
this topic because we already tackled this back in junior high school. We explained the different
phases like interphase, mitosis, and cytokinesis. This project shows not just what we learned but
also how well we can explain scientific ideas/terms in this lesson.
Now, in Artifact 2, it’s a diorama my group and I created. It shows a balanced ecosystem
and what happens when things get messed up. It was a fun way to learn about nature and express
ideas through art. We used different art materials such as cardboard, styrofoam, clay, artpapers
etc. We use almost hundred percent of our creativity in making this diorama. Additionally, aside
from using our brains, time, and effort, we also chipped in money to make this well crafted
diorama. This project isn’t just about words; it’s a hands-on example of how we see the
importance of keeping our environment in harmony.
Lastly, in Artifact 3, I gathered activities and quizzes I did during grade 11 senior high
school in General Biology I. It’s like a collection of papers that proves I understood General
Biology I. My scores were not always high, sometimes it was high, middle and low, but at least I
don’t have any zeroes at all. Each one is a little win, showing that I put effort into my studies and
got the hang of things.

Reflection:
Looking back at my time in senior high school, I see lots of learning and
growth. My PowerPoint on the cell cycle, the diorama of an ecosystem, and
my collection of activities and quizzes all show different parts of my school
journey. The PowerPoint taught me how to explain tough science ideas in a
simple way. It showed me that I can share knowledge with others clearly.
The PowerPoint taught me how to explain tough science ideas in a simple

the diorama was a fun way to learn about nature and show ideas through art.
It was a group effort and it taught us about teamwork. It also showed us how
important it is to take care of our environment. The activities and quizzes I
collected show that I worked hard in my Biology class. Each paper, no matter
the score, shows that I didn’t give up and kept trying to learn and do better.

In short, these things I collected are not just schoolwork, they

show how much I’ve grown and learned. They remind me of my journey
and inspire me to keep learning in the future.

GENERAL
PHYSICS I
REFLECTION:
Throughout General Physics 1, I gained a deep appreciation for the
importance of accurate measurements and the significance of significant figures.
From conducting experiments and using various measuring instruments, I
learned that precise measurements are crucial in obtaining reliable results. The
rules of significant figures helped me express the appropriate level of precision in
my calculations. I also developed a keen understanding of the conversion of
units and how to apply conversion factors to solve problems involving different
measurement systems. This skill proved invaluable in tackling real-world physics
scenarios and allowed me to confidently navigate between different units of
measurement.
One of the fundamental concepts I encountered in General Physics 1 was the
distinction between accuracy and precision. I discovered that accuracy refers to
how close a measurement is to the true value, while precision measures how
close multiple measurements are to each other. Through experiments and data
analysis, I learned to differentiate between these two concepts and appreciate
their significance in scientific investigations. Additionally, I delved into the realm
of vectors and scalars, understanding that vectors possess both magnitude and
direction, while scalars only have magnitude. This understanding enabled me to
perform vector operations, such as addition and subtraction, and apply them to
real-world scenarios involving motion and forces.
The topics of kinematics, projectile motion, and momentum, impulse, and
collision were particularly fascinating to explore in General Physics 1. Kinematics
allowed me to analyze the motion of objects, considering concepts such as
displacement, velocity, and acceleration. Projectile motion introduced me to the
intricate dynamics of objects launched into the air, accounting for factors like
angle, initial velocity, and height. Understanding momentum, impulse, and
collision helped me comprehend the behavior of objects during collisions and
appreciate the conservation of momentum. These topics provided a
comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles governing motion
and interactions between objects.
Overall, General Physics 1 provided me with a solid foundation in various
aspects of physics. It equipped me with essential skills, such as accurate
measurement techniques, unit conversions, and the ability to distinguish
between accuracy and precision. Moreover, the exploration of kinematics,
projectile motion, and momentum broadened my understanding of the physical
world and its underlying principles. Reflecting on these experiences, I can
confidently say that General Physics 1 has not only expanded my knowledge but
also nurtured my curiosity to delve deeper into the fascinating realm of physics.
