1.1 Mrs Zimba received an invoice for the goods she ordered for the catering of a function.
The invoice is provided below.
Study the invoice and answer the questions that follow.

1.1 State the date on which Mrs Zimba placed her order. (2)
1.2 Determine the missing values A,B and C on the invoice. (6)
1.3 Calculate how many days Mrs Zimba has to settle the bill. (2)

The learners of Prestige High school want to fund rise so that they can buy equipment for
cricket. They decided to bake cakes and have a cake sell at school. Study the recipe
below, which was taken from the internet and answer the questions that follow.

2.1 A large egg weighs an average of 51,5 grams. How much will 12 eggs weighs? Write the (3)
answer in kg.

2.2 How many 𝑚𝑙 is 2 2 teaspoons? (2)
2.3 Convert 625𝑚𝑙 to cups (2)
2.4 The recipe is given in degree Fahrenheit (℉). Convert the oven temperature to degree (2)

2.5 The pupils started baking at 11:35. At what time will the cake be ready? Write your (3)
answer in digital format.
2.6 Calculate how much of fresh cream, in liters would be needed to bake four of these (2)
cakes?

3.1.1 The SGB member claims that the perimeter of the pond is 8.7m. Verify,with the necessary (3)
calculations,whether her statement is correct or not.
3.1.2 Calculate the area covered by the pond (3)
You may use the formula: Area= lenght× width
3.1.3 Determine, with the necessary calaculations, how much water (in litres) will fill the pond if it is (5)
40 cm deep.

4.1.1 During the month of November,Lerato sends one SMS per day to relatives. (2)
Calculate how much this activity costs in rands.
4.1.2 Lerato spends a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes talking to her relatives during the month. (4)
Calculate how much this costed her. ( Assume there are 30 days in the month)
4.1.3 Calculate Lerato’s daily cellphone costs for the calls she made to her relatives mentioned in 4.1.2 (2)
