Note: Students can change the details in their form till last date. No correction shall be allowed after that. Any
change in the counseling schedule shall be uploaded on the University websitewww.amruhp.ac.in. Therefore; the
candidates are advised to remain in touch regularly with the University website till the completion of admission
process.
The entire process of application for entrance test and counseling shall be held in
online manner. If required, the candidate may be called along with their original
documents before allocation of seats during counseling.

1. INTRODUCTION
i) Course: 4 years B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Course (including internship) being run in the
college(s)/institution(s) listed in the Prospectus are having the approval of the Indian
Nursing Council, New Delhi and are affiliated to the Atal Medical and Research
University, HP, Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi HP.
ii) Philosophy: It is believed that health is a state of well-being that enables a person to
lead a psychologically, socially and economically productive life, health is a right of
all the people. Individuals, families and communities have a responsibility towards
maintaining their health.
Nursing contributes to the health services in a vital and significant way in the health
care delivery system. It recognizes national health goals and is committed to
participate in the implementation of National Health policies and programmes. It
aims at identifying health needs of the people, planning and providing quality care
in collaboration with other health professionals and community groups.
Scope of nursing practice encompasses provision of promotive, preventive, curative
and rehabilitative aspects of care to people across their life span in wide variety of
health care settings. Practice of nursing is based upon application of basic
concepts and principles derived from the physical, biological and behavioral
sciences, medicine and nursing.
Nursing is based on values of caring and aims to help individuals to attain
independence in self-care. It necessitates development of compassion and
understanding of human behavior among its practitioners to provide care with
respect and dignity and protect the rights of individuals & groups.
Undergraduate nursing programme is broad based education within an academic
framework specifically directed to the development of critical thinking skills,
competencies & standards required for practice of professional nursing and
midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy 2002.
The teachers have the responsibility to be role models and create learning
environment that enables students to acquire inquiry driven, self directed learning
and foster an attitude of lifelong learning.
Undergraduate nursing education programme prepares its graduates to become
exemplary citizen by adhering to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times
in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligations so as to respond to national
aspirations.
iv) Objectives: On completion of the four year B.Sc. Nursing programme the graduates
will be able to:-

(a) Apply knowledge from physical, biological, and behavioral sciences, medicine
including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals,
families and communities.
(b) Demonstrate understanding of life style and other factors, which affect health of
individuals and groups.
(c) Provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the
individuals and groups.
(d) Demonstrate critical thinking skill in making decisions in all situations in order to
provide quality care.
(e) Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing health care.
(f) Provide promotive, preventive and restorative health services in line with the
national health policies and programmes.
(g) Practice within the framework of code of ethics and professional conduct, and
acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.
(h) Communicate effectively with individuals and groups, and members of the health
team in order to promote effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
(i) Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in clinical/community
health setting.
(j) Participate effectively as members of the health team in health care delivery system.
(k) Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills in clinical/community health
settings.
(l) Conduct need based research studies in various setting and utilize the research
findings to improve the quality of care.
(m) Demonstrate awareness, interest, and contribute towards advancement of self and
of the profession.

Note:-
(i) The admission to the above Nursing Colleges/Institutions will be made
subject to renewal of permission/approval of the INC/HPNRC and affiliation
from the Atal Medical and Research University, HP, at Nerchowk, Distt.
Mandi, HP, the name of the colleges concerned must figure in the list of
the recognized/permitted colleges on the website of Indian Nursing Council
on or before the date of counseling for the academic session 2024- 2025. In
case, any Nursing College/Institution does not get the said required
permission from the Indian Nursing Council/HPNRC, Shimla as well as
affiliation from the Atal Medical & Research University, HP on or before
the first round of counseling, the candidates to such Colleges/Institutes
shall not be allotted under any circumstances for which the management of
the colleges concerned would be solely responsible.
(ii) The number of private un-aided B.Sc. Nursing Colleges/Institutions can be
increased/decreased subject to renewal of permission from the Indian
Nursing Council/ HPNRC. In case of any new B.Sc. Nursing
College/Institution obtaining permission from the INC/HPNRC/State
Government and affiliation of the Atal Medical and Research University, HP
for starting B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course on or before the date of 1st round
of Counselling, the said college(s) will also be allotted seats out of the merit
list drawn on the basis of the Entrance Test conducted by the Atal Medical
and Research University, HP, at Nerchowk, Distt. Mandi, HP.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. (i) Female Children of Bonafide Himachali/ Himachal Govt. employees and
employees of Autonomous bodies wholly or partially financed by the
Himachal Pradesh Government only will be eligible to apply for
admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course (Government Quota)
through Entrance Test to be conducted by Atal Medical and Research
University, HP, Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi, HP
(iii) The age of candidates should be between 17 to 35 years as on 31st, December 2024 i.e.
the candidate should be born between 01.01.1990 and 01.01.2008. However, upper age
can be relaxed by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates i.e. the candidates must have
been born between 01.01.1985 and 01.01.2008. Age as recorded in the matriculation

certificate will be entertained.
(iv) Admission to married candidates will be allowed subject to production of medical fitness
certificate and candidate can only appear in final examination after 80 % attendance in
theory and 100% in practical.
(v) The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from H.P. Board
of School Education/AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or any other Board/University
established by law in India in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
individually and with 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at
the qualifying examination. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the marks
obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination
will be 40% instead of 45% as stated above. Provided further that English is a
compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) course.
The candidate should be medically fit.
(vi) The candidates who appeared in 10+2 examination and their result are not yet declared
may also apply for this test, but their admission will be made, if they fulfill the minimum
eligibility criteria as prescribed in the prospectus at the time of 1st round of counselling.
Note:
a. The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination from National
Institute of Open School or appeared in 10+2 examination Science
(Medical) conducted by National Institute of Open School can also
apply to this test.
2. The Principal of the Nursing colleges shall be very cautious while admiingt the
candidates under the category of Persons with Disabilities strictly as per provisions as
mentioned above. In case of any violation of the aforesaid provisions, the penalty, if any,
shall be borne by thecollege concerned and the University shall in no way be responsible.
(ii) Criteria for Orphan candidate :- Last seat of each category in every Nursing
Institutions is reserved for Orphan candidate of the State of H.P. The candidate must possess a
valid document certifying his/her Orphan category issued by competent authority.
2. Definition of :
(i) Bonafide Himachali: The Bonafide Himachali is a person who possesses the required
Certificate as provided in the form of Bonafide Himachali Certificate in the Annexure-1
issued by the competent authorities on or after 01.01.2012.
(ii) Freedom Fighter is a person, declared so by the H.P. Government. Ward(s) of
Freedom Fighter means children/grandchildren (Only from paternal side) of the Freedom
Fighter. Provided the benefits can also be extended to the sons/daughters (from maternal
side) of a Freedom Fighter subject to the condition that the Freedom Fighter is/was not
having a son. Candidates applying under this category will have to produce a certificate as
per Annexure-4.
(iii) Defense Personnel/Ex-Servicemen means serving/retired personnel of three wings
of Armed Forces i.e. Army, Air Force and Navy; their widows/wards shall also be eligible
to apply under this category. The allocation shall be done according to priority explained in
Annexure-5. They are required to produce a certificate as per Annexure- 6 or 7, as the
case, may be.
(iv) Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) means the persons who fulfills the criteria
as prescribed by Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Personnel (AP-III) vide
letter No. PER(AP)-C-B(12)-1/2019 dated 11.06.2019. As per aforesaid letter, the persons
who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs and whose
family has gross annual income below Rs. 4.00 lakh (Rupees Four lakh only) are to be
identified as EWSs for benefit of reservation. Income shall also include income from all
sources i.e. salary, agriculture, business, profession etc. for the financial year prior to the year of
application. Also persons whose family owns or possesses any of the following assets shall be
excluded from being identified as EWS, irrespective of the family income;-
a) More than 1 hectare; of Agriculture Land in rural areas and 500 M2 land in
urban areas;
b) Residential flat/ house of more than 2500 square feet in rural/ urban areas;
c) Family of income tax payee;
d) Family of Regular/ Contract employees of the Central Government, State Government,
Board, Corporation and autonomous bodies and Public Sector Undertakings etc.
e) Note: The candidates claiming the benefit of reservation under EWS category is required to
submit the certificate on the prescribed format as per Annexure- 10(a) & 10(b) (as
applicable) duly issued by the competent authority of the State of Himachal Pradesh.
(v) One seat shall be reserved for widow in their respective category in the Govt. and
Private Nursing Institutions of the State of ANM course. Where the ANM course is not

available in the Institution then one seat shall be reserved in the B.Sc. Nursing Course, if
both courses are available in the institutions, then the reservation preference will be given to
the widow category in ANM course only subject to fulfillment of educational and other
qualifications, if any. The fee structure shall be same as applicable to the other students of
the same category.
3. (I) All the candidates will have to compete amongst their own
categories/sub- categories. The candidates of reserved categories, if selected by virtue of their
general merit against the unreserved seats shall not exhaust the seats reserved for the
concerned categories. However, the allotment of seats will be made college- wise depending
upon the merit-cum-choice of the candidate(s) for the concerned college. Similarly, the sub-
reserved categories candidates, if selected by virtue of their merit in main category shall not
exhaust the seats reserved for sub-categories.
1. Click on menu “Admission” > Apply for Admission and counseling > B.Sc. Nursing Course
available on the official website www. amruhp.ac.in
2. Select the Course in which the candidate wants to take the admission for Session 2024-25 .
3. Fill the fields Name, Father Name, email id and mobile number carefully. The entry of the fields
Name, Father’s Name must be same as printed on 10th Mark sheet issued by the concerned board.
4. After entering email id click on Verify Email button to verify email. On clicking the button, the
candidate will get OTP on the registered email id; by entering the OTP in the required text box the
email id will get verified. Insert the captcha code to get yourself registered. Use your authenticated
Mobile Number & e-mail ID for the registration and it must be unique. Due to onetime
registration, the candidate must retain the system generated credentials for future login.

5. If the candidate wants to apply for more than one course, the candidate can apply for other
course(s) using same email id. After entering the email id the system will prompt “You have
already applied for the (Course name) To apply for other course, continue with same Email-id.
After clicking on yes and entering OTP some fields will be prompted for verification.
6. Photograph should be taken on or after 1st June 2024 upto the size of 40kb.
-The focus needs to be on face (80% face coverage, ears clearly visible, on white background).
-Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
-Photograph should not be with cap or goggles.
-The candidate should put his full signature in running hand writing on white paper [not in
capital letter] with Black ink pen and scan for uploading upto the size of 20 kb.
-Photo & Signature must be clearly visible and must be in * .JPEG/*.JPG format.
-Uploaded Photo and signature will be used in pre and post examination processes i.e
Registration Card, Examination form, Re- evaluation form, Admit Card, Cut-lists, Degree
etc.
7. Only payment of fee shall not be considered as submission of application. After payment, the candidate
should require to submit the online application form by click on “Final Submit” button and download pdf
of Application form.
8. On final submission of Admission form, you will not be able to edit any entry.
Date of birth, Mobile No, Address, Caste, Category Details, Scanned Photo (must be less
than 40 kb, format-.jpg/.jpeg).

Important Notes:
(i) Fee once remitted cannot be refunded under any circumstances; therefore,
the candidates may remit the same very cautiously.
(ii) If ineligibility of a candidate is detected at any stage, her admission will be
cancelled without any notice.
(iii) Do not send print out of confirmation page of online application form as
well as fee receipt to the University, as the same are to be retained by the
candidates in future reference safely.
(iv) Candidate(s) is herself responsible for any error or incomplete online
application form.
(v) Incomplete online application form is liable to be rejected without any notice.
(vi) Candidature of the candidates will not be accepted if fee is not paid even
after the successful submission of application form and issue of registration
number.
(vii) For any pre-examination query/clarification, please contact on 01905-29210

(x) The candidates may, please note that the Admit Cards for the Entrance Test will
not be sent by post and the same will be downloaded by them from
Universitywebsite.
before submitting the application form online, shall satisfy her eligibility to
appear in the test. Candidate is required to go through the Prospectus
carefully and acquaint herself with all requirements with regard to
submission of online Application Form.
(ii) The candidate should fill each column of the online application form
carefully in order to avoid any error.
(iii) The candidate should fill her name, father’s name, and date of birth exactly
as per matriculation certificate. Any variation may lead to cancellation of the
candidature whenever discovered.
(iv) The information supplied by the candidate especially relating to DATE OF
BIRTH, CATEGORY, STATE OF DOMICILE, EXAMINATION
CENTRE and QUALIFICAION shall be treated as final and no change
shall be allowed to be made in this regard at a later stage. The applications
shall be scrutinized strictly according to the information supplied by the
candidate and the responsibility with regard to the accuracy of the
information shall lie with the candidate herself. The particulars to be filled in
the online application form are as under:-
(v) The candidate should fill the name of one category for which he/she
belongs. The details of the categories are as under:
(vi) The candidate should fill the name of one Examination Centre where she
wants to appear in the Entrance Test. The details of the Examination
Centres are as under :
Those who are appearing in both (Morning and Evening Session) shall
select the same examination center. University shell not be responsible if
the candidate is not able to appear in any exam because of this reason.
(vii) No request for change of particulars once filled in by the candidates in the
application form will be entertained under any circumstances after the given
date of correction.
(viii) Print out of Computer-Generated Application Form/ Confirmation
page: The print out of the Online application form will be retained by the
candidate and the same shall be submitted at the time of Counseling/
admission. Therefore, it will be the entire responsibility of the candidate
concerned to supply correct and authenticated information on the online
Application form. Application Forms not accompanied with “Fee Details”
shall be treated as incomplete and will be summarily rejected without
assigning any reasons. The Application Form of ineligible candidates will
also be rejected. After the last date of receipt of the print out of the online
application form, no request for change of category and examination centre
once opted/filled in the application form will be entertained under any
circumstances. It is further clarified that the candidates are allowed to
appear in the entrance test provisionally and shall be taking the test at their
own risk and responsibility as far as their final eligibility is concerned, the
University shall, in no way be responsible, if they are found to be ineligible
later, leading to cancellation of their result/merit or any other consequence
emanating from the same. The final scrutiny of the application form with
reference to original documents will be done at the time of
counselling/admission by the Counselling Committee. The Principal of the
college concerned before admitting the candidate to the course shall also
check the final eligibility of each candidate as per the provisions of the
prospectus. Any wrong or misleading entry or documentation in the form will
lead to the rejection of the candidature at any stage without assigning any
reason for which the candidates(s) would be solely responsible.
(ix) In case, any candidate deposited the wrong fee inadvertently while filling up
ONLINE Application Form for B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test, the said fee
shall not be refunded under any circumstances for which the candidate herself
would be solely responsible. Therefore, the candidates are advised to fill up
the online application form with accurate remittance of fee very cautiously.

(x) No representation beyond the provisions of the prospectus shall be
entertained or replied thereof. However, for any correspondence, the
candidate must quote her Application Form No., Roll Number, Name and
Father’s Name with full address.
(xi) The official website of the University for B.Sc Nursing Entrance Test is
www.amruhp.ac.in . All the information related to this test will be made
available on this website.
(xii) All matters and disputes related to B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test and
admission are subject to legal jurisdiction of Courts in Mandi only.

8. DECLARATION OF RESULT AND MERIT LIST
1. As Per Government of Himachal Pradesh letter no HFW-B(B)15-10/2019
(27911) dated 13.05.2024 The admission/ selection of the candidates in the
B.Sc Nursing courses shall be made strictly on the basis of the entrance test
conducted by the Atal Medical and Research University Ner Chowk, Mandi in
Government Nursing Colleges as well as Private Nursing colleges purely on
merit basis.
2. Before declaration of result, the key answers as provided by the Examiner(s) will
be displayed on University Website. If any candidate is not satisfied with the
answers, he/she would be allowed to make representation with documentary proof to the
COE, Atal Medical and Research University, HP, at Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi, HP-
175021 in person or through email: [email protected] within a period of
two days or as specified in the notification, and thereafter no representation will be
entertained under any circumstances. The said representations will be referred to the
Moderation Committee of subject experts to be constituted by the Vice-
Chancellor, for their consideration and recommendations. The
decision/recommendations of the Moderation Committee shall be final and binding
upon all concerned. The Committee will also be authorized to take suo moto notice of
any error in the question paper. If the committee feels that the key answers
provided by the examiner is not proper, it will be taking into consideration the
views of the Examiner, give reasons for differing with the answer. In case a question
has more than one correct answer, the committee will indicate the same in its report
and if no answer is correct, recommendations to this effect will also be made by the
committee. The committee will also point out the printing error(s) in questions and
their key answers, if any, and make necessary recommendations. In such a way the
result and its category-wise merit list will be declared/notified as per schedule.
3. The result of all the candidates appeared in the entrance test will be declared and
made available on the website of the University. No detail marks cards will be
sent to the candidates. The candidates may see their marks on the University
Website. No separate intimation will be given to the candidates in this regard.
There will be no re- checking/re-evaluation of the Answer-Sheet. However,
the candidate can obtain the photocopy of OMR Answer sheet under RTI
Act, 2005 for which the candidate may send request to the Public

Information Officer, Atal Medical and Research University, HP, at Ner
Chowk, Distt. Mandi, HP along with a fee of Rs. 10/- in the shape of Bank
Draft/ IPO/Online to be drawn in favour of Finance Officer, AMRU.
4. If two or more candidates obtained equal aggregate marks in the Entrance Test
for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Course, then their inter-se ranking shall be
determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, English and Nursing Aptitude in that order in the said
entrance test. If the tie still persists after exhausting the above procedure, then
the candidate older in age will be given preference.
5. The combined and category-wise merit list based on the marks of the entrance test of all
qualified candidates will be prepared and notified. The said merit list will be uploaded
on the University website. Merely assigning the rank in this merit list does not confer
any right for admission. However, the admission will be made in order of merit as well
as fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria on verification of the original
certificates/documents and further subject to availability of seat(s) in the concerned
quota/category at the time of counselling.
9. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
(a) INSTRUCTIONS FOR OMR ANSWER SHEET
1. The specimen copy of the OMR Answer Sheet which will be distributed along with
the Question Booklet is given at Annexure-I of the Prospectus. Candidates are advised
to go through it and be conversant with the requirement of filling up the particulars
and marking the answers, so that during the examination they could do so without any
difficulty and without making any mistake or loss of time.
2. The answer sheet used will be of special type, which will be scanned on optical
scanners. There will be one side of the answer sheet for marking answers.
3. The candidate must ensure that the answer sheet is not folded. She should not make
any stray marks on it.
4. Candidates are advised to bring with them a card board or a clip board so that they
have no difficulty in writing responses in the Answer Sheet even if the tablesprovided
in the Examination Hall may not have smooth surface. They will also bring their own
Ball Point Pens (Blue/Black) of good quality. These will not be suppliedby the
University.
5. Roll Number: Write and mark your Roll number as per specimen answer sheet
Annexure-13.
6. For Roll Number and respective answers appropriate circles be darkened with
Blue/Black ball-point pen only. Partially filled circles, dot matrix, X or tick marked
circles shall be liable to be rejected by the machine. Darkening of circles/ovals be done
correctly as indicated below for guidance.

7. Writing of responses: There will be four alternatives for each of the question

numbering 001 to 100. Of these four responses only one will be the correct or the
most appropriate response. The candidate will indicate her response to the question
by darkening the appropriate circle/oval completely. For example Question No.008
in the Question Booklet reads as follows:
Taj Mahal is situated in :
(A) Delhi (B) Bombay (C) Agra (D) Bangalore
The correct response to this question is (C) Agra.
The candidate will locate question No.008 in the answer sheet and darkened the
circle/oval (C) as shown below:-

If the candidate does not want to attempt any question, she should not touch the
circle given against that question.
8. The candidates must fully satisfy themselves about the accuracy of the answer before
darkening the appropriate circle as no change in answer once marked is allowed. Use
of eraser or white fluid on the Answer Sheet is not permissible, as the Answer Sheets are
machine gradable and it may lead to wrong evaluation.
9. If more than one circle is darkened or if the responses are marked in any other
manner it shall be treated as wrong way of marking and shall be rejected by the
Scanner /University.
10. The candidate is advised to decide about the answer before she marks it on the
answer sheet. She must ensure that the circle is completely darkened with blue/black
ball pen only. A lightly or faintly darkened circle will be rejected by the optical
Scanner/University.
11. Important instructions for marking :
Marks should be dark and should completely fill the circle.
Darken only one circle for each question.
Make the marks only in the space provided.
Please do not fold the answer sheet and make any ROUGH WORK thereon.
(b) Instruction to be followed in the Examination Hall:
1. The Entrance Examination Hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement
of the test. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening
of the Examination Hall. If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss
some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination Hall.
2. The candidate must show, on demand, the Admit Card for admission in the
Examination Hall. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card downloaded
from the University website shall not be admitted to the Examination Hall under any
circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.
3. Calculators, Slide Rules, Geometry Box, Electronic Digital Watches with facilities
of calculators, mobile phones, pagers or any other electronic gadget are not allowed
inside the Examination Hall.
4. The candidates will be given question booklet along with answer-sheet ten minutes
before the commencement of the test.
5. The candidate will check and ensure that the Question Booklet contains number of
pages as are written on the top of the first page and if any page is missing or misprint,
the same be brought immediately to the notice of the Invigilator.

6. Immediately on receipt of the question booklet the candidates will fill in the required
particulars on the cover page of the question Booklet with ball point pen only. They
will deal with the booklet when asked by the Invigilator. Also the candidates will fill
in the required particulars on the Answer Sheet.
7. The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Admit Card and an
announcement to this effect will be made by the Invigilator.
8. During the examination time, the Invigilator will check Admit Card with the
identification-cum-attendance sheet of each candidate to satisfy herself about the
identity of the candidate. Admit Card will be retained by the candidate thereafter.
The Invigilator will also put her signature in the place provided on the Answer sheet
Admit Card and Identification-cum-attendance sheet.
9. Use Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only to darken the appropriate circle. Darken only one
circle for each entry as the Answer once marked is not liable to be changed.
10. A signal will be given at the beginning of the examination and at the half-time. A
signal will also be given before the closing time when the candidate must stop marking
the responses.
11. After completing the test each candidate should check again that all the particulars
required in the Question Booklet and Answer Sheet have been correctly written and
thereafter the Answer Sheet will be handed over to the Invigilator by the candidate
before leaving the examination hall. However, the Question Booklet and Admit Card
will be retained by the candidate after the entrance test is over.
12. Candidates removing pages from the Question Booklet during the period of entrance
test, impersonation or trying to appear in the counselling through forged means or by
producing fabricated/tampered documents will be dealt with as per law.
13. The admit Card will be retained by the candidates after the Entrance Test is over.
Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good conditions till
counselling/admission in Colleges is over.
14. The candidates are advised not to indulge in unfair means activities/malpractices
which breach the examination rules. If any candidate is found to be indulged in any
such activity, she shall be debarred from taking this examination in future and shall
also be liable for criminal action or any other action deem fit by the University.
15. If a candidate is admitted in the College on the basis of the merit of the Entrance Test,
but at a subsequent time, if it is discovered that she had used unfair means practice
during the entrance test, the student shall be removed from the College and all the fees
and other dues paid shall be confiscated. Further action as warranted against the
candidate and her parents as per law may shall be taken.
(c) After provisional allocation of seats in the first round of counselling, candidates would
be able to download provisional admission letters from the website of the university after
login to their account. The candidates will be required to report to the Principals of the
respective college along with requisite original documents and print out of application
form and allotment letter. Candidates will also be required to deposit one self-attested
copy of all these documents.
(d) The eligibility of the candidates will be determined by the Admission Committee
constituted and chaired by the Principals of the respective college as per provisions of the
prospectus. The Admission Committee will recommend admission of the candidate after
ensuring eligibility, verifying documents, medical fitness and deposition of fees. If the
candidate does not follow the aforesaid process within stipulated time the allotment shall be
cancelled automatically without any intimation to the candidate. This seat shall be declared
vacant in subsequent rounds of the counselling and penalty (if applicable) shall be imposed as
per provisions of the prospectus.
(e) After completion of 1st round of Common /Centralized Counselling, the 2nd round
of Common/ Centralized Counselling shall be conducted by the university as per
schedule prescribed in the Prospectus or schedule issued by the Counselling
Committee as the case may be. The online application form shall be made available
on www.amruhp.ac.in. The Candidates will be required to fill up choices/preferences
of college(s) afresh within stipulated period for provisional allocation against
vacant seats or the seats falling vacant due to change over of the college. If
candidate is satisfied with his/her seat allocated during the 1st round of online
Counselling, he/she is not required to participate in the 2nd round of online
Counselling. In case he/she wants up-gradation, then he/she will have to submit
fresh preferences in 2nd round failing which the seat allocated in the 1st round will be
treated as final. Up-gradation from one Nursing College to another shall be
allowed during the 2nd round of Centralized /Common Counselling in order of merit
as per the availability of seats and choices filled by the candidates. During the 2 nd
round of Counseling, if an admitted candidate of round -1, who participated in 2nd
round is not getting up-gradation then he/she will be allowed to retain the seat with
category allotted in Round-1 and hence allocation shall be done only of available
vacancy in Round-2. The vacant seats in second round will be filled category-wise.
(f) Those candidates who registered for Round-1 and were not allotted any seat, need
not register again, they can log in and fill up the choices directly in 2nd round.
Following the filling of choices, the seats shall be allocated based on merit and

choices.
(g) At the end of 2nd round of Common/ Centralized Counseling, in case, the eligible
candidate to the extent of reservation in any category are not available or seats remain
unfilled, the vacant seats shall be filled up by making them available to other category
as given below:
(i) The vacant /unfilled seats of SC category shall be filled up from amongst the
eligible ST category candidates.
(ii) The vacant /unfilled seats of ST category shall be filledup from amongst the
eligible SC category candidates.
(iii) In case, the eligible candidates are not available in the above two reserved
categories in the above manner, the vacant seats shall then be filled up from
amongst the eligible unreserved candidates.
(iv) The vacant /unfilled seats of Person with disability shall be filled –up from
General category candidates.
(v) The candidature of SC/ST candidates belonging to other state (non- HP) will
only be considered for General category by virtue of their General combined
merit for allocation of State Quota seats in Govt. /private Nursing Colleges
of the State.
(h) It is pertinent to mention here that the candidates can fill the choices of colleges
categories /quota which are not reflecting in the vacancy position of seats during 2nd
round of Counselling as few seats may arise due to changeover of college by
candidates who have already occupied a UG (B. Sc Nursing) seats in 1 st round. In
view thereof, seats of any College may become vacant in 2nd round due to above
mentioned changes. Hence, it is not mandatory to fill only those choices/preferences
which are reflected in the vacancy position of seats. Therefore, candidates are advised
to fill the preferences/choices of colleges as per their choice. The seats in 2nd round
will be allocated as per availability of seats in order of merit- cum - choice/preference
submitted by the candidate.
(i) The Himachali Bonafide candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria of State Quota seat
as prescribed in the Prospectus, admitted under management quota in the private Nursing
College can also be up graded to the State Quota Seat during the 2nd round of Counseling,
if she applied for the state quota seat in the Colleges concerned against vacant/drop- out
seats, if any, in order of merit as the case may be, subject to fulfilment of the eligibility
criteria as prescribed for State Quota seats.
(j) Mop up round/extended Mop up round (if any) shall be conducted for those candidate
who have not joined /holding any seat during the 1st and 2nd round of Common/
Centralized Counseling and who will apply afresh for Mop up round vacancy. No up-
gradation from one college to another college shall be made during the Mop up round of
Counselling by the Counselling committee. However, up-gradation will be allowed from
Private College to Government College and in private Nursing College from
Management Quota to State Quota in order of merit during Mop up round as well as in

stray round (if any).
(k) Candidates are advised to remain in touch with the online counseling website www.amruhp.ac.in
regularly for any change in the counseling/admission process as well as latest updates up to the
last closing date of admission and Counselling Committee shall in no way be responsible for non-
communication on this account.
(l) The final eligibility of the candidates shall be determined after verification of all original
documents strictly as per provisions of the prospectus by the Scrutiny Committee
constituted by the Principal of the concerned Nursing College. However, it will be the
entire responsibility of the candidates concerned to supply correct and authenticated
information on the online Application form. The Application Forms of ineligible
candidates will be rejected by the Common /Centralized Counseling Committee. No request for
change of category once opted/filled in the online Application Form after issuance of category-
wise merit list during the course of Online Counselling will be entertained under any
circumstances. It is further clarified that the candidates will be allocated seats provisionally on
the basis of their merit rank-cum-choices/preferences. As far as their final eligibility is
concerned, the Counselling Committee shall, in no way be responsible, if they are found to be
ineligible at the time of admission in the allocated college, leading to cancellation of their seat
orany other consequence emanating from the same.
(m) It will be the sole responsibility of the Principal of the colleges concerned to admit the
eligible candidates to the course as per provisions of the Prospectus. The Principal must
ensure that he/ she is clear about the prescribed eligibility criteria of the State Common
/Centralized Counselling Prospectus-2024-25 before admitting the candidate to the
course. Candidates are also requested to ensure that they are eligible for the course they
are going to take admission. In the event of his/her ineligibility detected at later stage,
his/her admission shall be cancelled without any notice. Any wrong or misleading entry
or documentation in the form will lead to the rejection of the candidature at any stage
without assigning any reason for which the candidate(s) would be solely responsible
along with its legal consequences and liabilities of entire course fee to the concerned
institutions
(n) Candidate who brings incomplete documents/certificate(s) at the time of reporting for
verification of documents at the level of college for admission, his/her candidature is
liable to be rejected without any notice by the College Scrutiny Committee. Provided
further that in the admission process, the decision of the Director Medical Education &
Research, H.P.-cum- Chairman Centralized /Common Counseling Committee shall be
final and binding upon all concerned
(o) Mop up round to fill-up vacant /unfilled B. Sc Nursing seats will be conducted by the
Common/ Centralized Counseling Committee as per Counselling procedure.
11. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1. For Govt. Nursing Colleges and State/ Management Quota Seats in Private Nursing
Colleges/ Institutions:
(i) State Quota: Only those Female Children of Bonafide Himachali/Domicile/ Children of
H.P. Govt. Employees and Employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly or partially financed
by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh who qualified the Entrance Test will be considered in
order of merit of the Entrance Test for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course in
Govt./Private Nursing Colleges subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as contained in

the Prospectus.
(ii) Management Quota : However, for Management Quota Seats, the above conditions do
not apply. The candidates who have qualified the Entrance Test irrespective of having above
status shall be considered for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course in order of Merit
of Entrance Test in private Nursing colleges subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as
contained in the Prospectus.
Important Note:
i The principal(s) of Nursing College(s)/Institutions will also check the eligibility criteria of each
candidate including settlement of discrepancy(ies) as pointed out by the counselling committee
as per provision of the Prospectus before admitting the candidates in the College/Institution.
ii No shifting shall be allowed from one private Nursing College/Institution to another private
nursing College/Institution on the same capacity of seat except up-gradation of seats i.e.
Management Quota to the State Quota.
iii In the case of candidates having passed their 10+2 examination other than H.P. Board of School
Education, Dharamshala/CBSE/ICSE, equivalence certificate issued by the H.P. Board of
School Education, Dharamshala is required to be submitted at the time of counselling/admission
by the candidates concerned.
iv If two or more candidates who have obtained equal aggregate marks in 10+2 (Medical-PCB)
qualifying examination, then their inter-se merit for admission to B.Sc. Nursing course shall be
determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in order of merit in Biology,
Chemistry, Physics and English respectively. Even, if the tie still persists, then the candidate
older in age will be given preference.
1. The selected candidates will be called for medical examination and verification of
the documents as attached to the original application by the respective Nursing
Colleges/Institutions on their own expenses and candidate should be medically fit
as per standard of Physical fitness as prescribed in Annexure–12. If declared unfit she will
not be admitted in the allotted college. However, certificate of medical fitness issued by
the District Level Government hospital with report of COVID-19 on this account shall
only be acceptable.
2. The students who take admission in B.Sc. Nursing course should get vaccinated with
Anti-Hepatitis-B themselves at their own expenses and they are required to do so
within 6 months from the date of their admission in the course.
3. If the selected candidate does not join the college by the stipulated date and complete
the Medical Examination etc. as laid down in the prescribed form she will not have
any claim for the allotted seat, which will then be offered to the next candidate on
the merit list.
4. Every candidate coming from other Universities/Boards for admission to 1st year
B.Sc. Nursing course in the Colleges has to produce migration certificate at the time
of admission in the College/Institutions.
5. The students will get themselves registered on payment of prescribed fee with the
Atal Medical and Research University, HP for which the Principles of the Nursing
Colleges shall submit the lists of admitted candidates along with prescribed forms
and requisite fee to the Registrar, Atal Medical and Research University, HP, at
Nerchowk, Distt. Mandi, HP within one month after the closing date of admission.
6. The Principles of the Nursing Colleges shall also submit the lists of admitted
candidates Quota-wise as well as category-wise in order of merit after the closing
date of admission within 15 days to the COE, Atal Medical and Research University,
HP, at Nerchowk, Distt. Mandi, HP.
7. If a candidate is admitted on the basis of application form but at a subsequent time
if it is, discovered that any of the statement was false, the student shall be removed

from the College/Institutions and all the fees and other dues paid shall be
confiscated. Any further action against the candidate and her guardian that may be
considered suitable may also be taken.
8. After completion of admission process all Government/Private nursing colleges shall
Submit one set of verified photocopies of documents of admitted candidates to AMRU,
Nerchowk before registration. The list of documents to be submitted is attached as
Annexure-14. If any document is found wrong or incomplete set of documents is
submitted, the action may be taken by the university against Principal of concern college
that may include penalty.
13. MIGRATION, COLLEGE SESSION, VACATIONS AND SYLLABUS
(i) Migration: Migration from one college to another college may be considered
asper INC guidelines.
(ii) College Session: Academic Session 2024-25 will be started as per INC guidelines.
(iii) Vacations: 4 weeks’ vacation shall be given annually to the students.
(iv) Syllabus: The syllabus and course schedule for B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree shall be
strictly as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Atal Medical
& Research University, HP, at Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi, HP.
Note:
(i) No fees shall be charged by the private Nursing Institutions for hospital attachment
from the candidates belonging to BPL/IRDP families admitted under
State/Management Quota and their tuition fees shall be Rs. 20,000/- as per
instructions issued by the Govt. of H.P. vide letter No. HFW-B(B)15-10/2019
dated 5th July 2019. Similarly, their admission fees would be Rs. 2,000/- only.
Provided, further that the certificate of renewal of BPL/IRDP students shall not be
required in the subsequent years during the course of studies by the authorities
concerned.
(ii) As per instructions issued by the Govt. of H.P. vide letter No. HFW-B(F)6-
1/2018-I (28079) dated 23.03.2024 if the students of IRDP category are being
admitted in unreserved category then the benefit can be given to the IRDP category
on the same analogy of BPL category. However, in case, EWS category candidate
is admitted against General Category, the benefit of IRDP/BPL category can not be
given to them.
(iii) Other dues such as mess, transport and miscellaneous incidental expenses shall be
charged on actual basis by the respective Institution.
(iv) Newly admitted students must pay their fees in full within the prescribed period,
which will be notified by the College office. No student’s name will be enlisted in
attendance register unless she has paid the prescribed fees. The seat of the students,
who does not pay the fees within the prescribed period, shall be declared vacant and

filled by admitting another candidate on the waiting list within the last cut-off date
for admission.
(v) The above fee structure for academic session 2024-2025 is provisional and is subject
to change, if any, by the State Govt. on the recommendations of the Fee Structure
Committee.
(vi) Selected candidates shall have to pay of Rs. 10,000/- only as advance fee at the time
of counselling which will be adjusted later on in annual fee by the college concerned.
(vii) Regarding refund of fee in the event of shifting of students from one Institution of
another Institution, it will be refunded/adjusted in all Govt. and private Institutions,
provided such shifting takes place within the stipulated last date of admission.
(viii) In the event of a candidate leaving the course after the cut-off date of admission or
mid-session, the fee deposited by her will be forfeited. So far as the refund of security
is concerned, the same will be refunded after completion of the course only. Hostel fee will
not be refunded if she stays in hostel.
15. GENERAL DISCIPLINARY RULES:
The following rules will be taken into consideration while granting internal
assessment in various examinations by the Head of the Department.
(a) ATTENDANCE:
Every student is required to attend punctually at the hours notified for lectures and
practical classes. A student who is late may not be allowed to enter the lecture theatre
of practical hall. If the student does not attend classes continuously for 3 month
without information/valid reason her admission will stand cancelled.
(b) RAGGING:
(i) Every student of the College is informed that under the orders of the Hon’ble High
Court of Himachal Pradesh and the rules framed by the University there under
Ordinance ragging is completely prohibited. Any student found involved in
ragging will be summarily expelled from the College and legal proceedings under
Criminal law shall be initiated against her. Further, an affidavit has to be given by
the student and her parents/local guardian that she will not indulge in ragging at the
time of her admission and thereafter during her tenure of completion the B.Sc.
Nursing Course.
(ii) It is for information that ragging incidents occurred in Dr. R.P. Govt. Medical
college, Kangra at Tanda on 6th and 7th March, 2009 and in Indira Gandhi Medical
College, Shimla on 19th and 20th March, 2009. The following action has been taken
by the concerned Principal of the respective colleges:-
(i) Dr. R.P.GOVT. MEDICAL COLLEGE, KANGRA AT TANDA:
1. Mukul Sharma S/o Sh. Anoop Sharma (Students of 2007 batch) has been expelled
from the Hostel as well as from the college for four Semesters (Each Semester of
Six Months).
2. Ajay Kumar Verma S/o Sh. Dharam Chand Verma Intern (Batch 2003) has been
expelled from the Hostel as well as from the College and his internship for four
Semesters (Each semester of Six Months).
3. Naveen Verma S/o Sh. Prem Singh Verma (Student of 2007 batch) has been expelled
from the Hostel as well as the college for four Semesters(Each Semester of Six
Months).
4. Abhinav Verma S/o Sh. Davinder Verma (Student of 2007) has been expelled from
the Hostel as well as from the college for four Semesters (Each Semester of Six

5. Dr. Pradeep Bansal, Warden 1st year boys hostel has been suspended with
immediate effect.
6. Sh. Deepak Verma, Hostel Manager has been suspended with immediate effect.
(1) Mr. Nikhil Verma and Mr. Sushant Sharma interns are:
(i) Expelled from the Hostel for the entire period of their internship training.
(ii) Suspended from internship training for a period of Six Months and put
them on conduct probation during the period of Suspension.
(iii) A fine of Rs. 1000/- each imposed upon the interns.
(2) In case of ragging incident in the College premises noticed by any student, the matter
can be reported either to the Principal of the concerned college or to the following

1. No person shall practice ragging in any form, within or outside the premises of an
educational institution.
2. Any person who contrivances the provisions of sub-section (1) shall, on conviction,
be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years or with fine
which may extend to fifty thousand rupees or with both.

STANDARD OF PHYSICAL FITNESS
1. Eyes:
(a) The absence of one eye shall not be a bar, the vision of remaining eye shall
notbe less than 6/9 with or without glasses.
(b) The minimum vision in person in possession of both eyes will be 6/12,6/18
withor without glasses.
(c) There shall be no fungus disease adversely effecting the vision.
(d) Colour blind candidates may be considered for admission to Nursing courses
subject to the condition that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are
worn by such candidates.
2. Ears : The hearing power shall be such as to enable a candidate to use hisstethoscope
effectively
