Computer Definition
Store – most computers have more than one location for storing
data.
Memory : is an area of that temporarily holds data that is waiting
to be processed, stored or output
The area where data can be left on a permanent basis when it is
not immediately needed for processing is called STORAGE.
HARDWARE
is best described as a device that is physically
connected to your computer or something that can be
physically touched.
SOFTWARE
- is a collection of instructions that enables a user
to interact with the computer or have the computer
perform specific tasks for them.
COMPUTER CASE
A typical Computer case
encloses the main computer
components
MOTHERBOARD
This contains slots for expansion
cards and it holds parts like
CPU, RAM, BIOS, Buses like PCI,
AGP, ISA and USB
Motherboard is also known
as System Board
CPU
The component of a computer that
interprets instructions and processes
data in computer programs are called
Central Processing Unit (CPU) or simply
“PROCESSOR”.
DVD
It is also known as
Digital Versatile Disc or
Digital Video Disc which is
an optical disc storage that is
used to store movies.
KEYBOARD
Keyboard is a device used to input text into a computer
or other device.
MONITOR
Monitor is a television
like equipment designed to
display digital data.
PRINTER
Printer is a device that
produces a permanent
documents.
SPEAKER
Speaker used to play
more sophisticated sounds
on the computer.
