GRAFANA
Visualizing Data Made Easy
What is Grafana ?
• Grafana is an open-source platform designed to
facilitate data visualization and analysis
• It provides intuitive tools for creating interactive
dashboards and visualizing metric
• Grafana’s user-friendly interface and customisable
features make it accessible to both technical and non- technical users. Architecture
Grafana's architecture includes key components for
e cient metrics processing and querying. Metrics are sent to the Distributor, which forwards them to the Ingester for processing and storage in a system with caching layers (Redis, Memcached) and object storage (S3, GCS, Azure). The Compactor optimizes stored data, while the Querier retrieves data from storage. The Query Frontend manages incoming queries, ensuring e cient data access for visualization. This setup ensures scalability and performance for handling large volumes of metrics data. ffi ffi Grafana Interface Dashboard
• Panels: Visual elements like graphs, charts, and tables, customizable
to display data e ectively.
• Variables: Dynamic data lters for interactive and customizable
dashboards.
• Annotations: Notes or events added to mark signi cant data points.
