The teacher will group the class into four and give them different activities to do.
Group 1: Give the title of the story and the author’s name. Write the answer to the
given paper.
Group 2: Give all the animals that are present in the story. But first, you need to
sing and dance to a children's song called May Tatlong Bibe.
Group 3: Show how the ugly duckling feels unhappy and different from the rest
by acting it out in front of the class.

Deepening Understanding
The subject of the sentence is what (or whom) the sentence is about. In the
sentence “The cat is sleeping in the sun,” the word cat is the subject. A predicate
is the part of a sentence, or a clause, that tells what the subject is doing or what
the subject is. “The cat is sleeping in the sun.”
Read and analyze the groups of words. Study the difference between them.

What can you say about the groups of words in Set A? What about in Set B?
Which of the two sets express complete ideas? Which is clearer and easier to
understand?
The groups of words in Set B express complete thoughts They are examples of
sentences. A sentence is a word or group of words that expresses a complete
thought. It contains essential parts of the sentence, which is the subject and the
predicate. It also begins with a capital letter and end with punctuation marks.
Thus, the examples in Set B are sentences.
A sentence can also be a word like "Jump" The word jump is considered a
sentence because its meaning can be understood When one gives a command, one
needs not mention the word you, which is the subject of the word jump.
"(You) Jump". This sentence then has a subject (implied) and a predicate
On the other hand, a group of words that does not express a complete thought
is called a phrase. A phrase is simply a part of a sentence

Types of Business
There are a lot of different small businesses that are available for entrepreneurs
looking for the night business The following and the three types of business
1. Service Business. This is a type of business that earns you income by providing
services to your customers. Examples of this business are tutoring repairing
computers and cellphones, sewing dresses and suits, and installing and repairing
electrical wirings.
2. Buy and Sell Business. This is the most common type of business we see every
day It is a business that buys finished products at a wholesale price and resells
them on a retail basis to consumers. An example of this is a sari-sari store
wherein owners buy items or products from manufacturers and offer them to
consumers in small personal use size items.
