1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this method statement is to establish specific guidelines for the chronological order of
activities and series of events specifically prepared for the Client (end-user) and Contractor workforce
for the execution of the project BMA24-0025 Opening Cleaning and Repair on Trays 1-10 in
compliance with the Job Specification issued by PBR, and shall be strictly complied, documented
and maintained.

2. OBJECTIVE

The objective of this document is to give the client a general principle for the supply of dedicated
manpower, tools, equipment, materials, consumables and technical supervision stated on the for the
project BMA24-0025 Opening Cleaning and Repair on Trays 1-10 Requirement of which the client,
Petron Bataan Refinery has given Energized Industrial Corporation (EIC) the responsibility of
performance.

3. SCOPE

This procedure encompasses all efforts necessary activities and covers all the requirements for BMA24-
0025 Opening Cleaning and Repair on Trays 1-10. The execution of work shall be in accordance with Parts
I, II and III of the Job Specifications, PBR references and other attachments

4. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

1. Verification of all PBR supplied drawings for consistency with reference to actual field
conditions.
2. Erect all necessary scaffolds at blinding points (Pre-T/A work item). Scaffolding erection
shall be in accordance with PBR safety standard requirements.
3. Manpower assistance during unit/equipment depressu rizin g / draining/ steaming out for
activities such as but not limited to connecting steam / water hoses, opening of vents and
drains, initial blinding, etc. Contr actor to provide all steam and chemical hoses.
4. Dismantle/ restore insulation and cladding at blinding points .
5. Install blinds at tower nozzles/blinding points per PBR Operations blind list. Re-use old
gaskets. PBR to supply paddle blinds.
6. Conduct final steam-out and water pushing of towers (by PBR). Contractor to provide
assistance.
7. Open tower manways marked K, P, and X on the attached drawing.
8. Gas testing for vessel entry to be done by PBR Safety.
9. Install eductors. Contractor to provide eductors.
10. Conduct initial inspection of tower internal (trays 1-10) by PBR PRG and PE. Contractor to
provide assistance and ensure that the tower is well lighted during the inspection works.

7. DOCUMENTATION
- Submission for Request for nInspection (RFI)
- Submission of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), if required.
- Sumission of As-found and As-left Inspection Report

8. SAFETY PRECAUTION
- Submission of JSA / JHA with /risk Assessment for PBR Approval.
- Design of Strcutural Scaffolding Erection with Sign & Seal of Scaffolding erecti
- Gas Testing of Confined Space prior to entry. Rectification needed if required.

9. FORMS
- Forms issued by PBR will be utilized.
- Prescribed form of EIC will be utilized in compliance with PBR existing rules and regulations.
