Read the story. Write some words from the story to complete the sentences.

Theo and his sister Nora liked playing football with their friends after school in the park. Some of
their friends could play football well, and some of them couldn't. Theo always wanted to be on
the winning team, and score all the goals.
‘Look at me! Look at me!’ he shouted every time he scored a goal. ‘I’m amazing!’
One day a small girl watched them play.
‘Hello, my name’s Barbara,’ she said to Theo. ‘You’re amazing! Can I be on your team?’
‘No, you can’t,’ Theo said. ‘You’re too small.’
The little girl was upset.
Theo’s sister said to him: ‘Can you remember when you were little? You used to watch the big
children playing football and you used to want to play with them. They were never unkind and
they usually played with you.’
‘I’m sorry,’ Theo said to Barbara. ‘Of course you can play.’
‘Thank you,’ she said. Theo passed the ball to Barbara, and she kicked the ball into the goal.
‘Hooray!’ Theo shouted. ‘You’re very good at football! But now you have to practise with
me every day!’
