Topic 5: Some people believe that when designing a building, the most important

thing to be considered is the function rather than the outward appearance. To what
extent do you agree or disagree?
Design plays a key role today. ( ko cần thiết, giống kiểu viết văn viết, nếu con muốn mở
bài thì phải đề cập đến cả design và function). It is argued (thiếu d) that the exterior design
is not as crucial as the intended use of a building. In my point of view, whilst I acknowledge
that the function is vital, how the building looks like is also essential. (mở bài hay chỉ cần
xóa câu đầu tiên)
On the one hand, I consent that the use of the building is of paramount importance due to
not being noticing of appearance ( dịch quá nên bị sai nghĩa, bỏ luôn cũng ko ảnh
hưởng). There are some kinds of building which do not need to be so attractive outside,
namely hospital, company,etc,…(IELTS là formal writing, tuyết đối không dùng etc
hay …) ->As a matter of fact, some kinds of buildings do not need to be so attractive
outside but they have to be functional, namely hospitals and offices. When people enter
these ones, they totally do not care much about this factor-> the appearance, what they
concern more are->is the service quality and the modern facility inside the buildings. For
example, if a person goes to a hospital for curing sick-> illness/diseases, he or she just
desires to have an appointment with doctor and knows how to quickly recover instead of
seeing the decoration design outside of the building.
On the other hand, the outward design is valuable in terms of buildings which are for whose
exterior design can be beneficial for tourism and entertainment. It is undeniable that most
restaurants, coffee shops and park are so lovely->impressive and picturesque to->, thus
drawing attention of visitors. The outside design is also a great background for tourists to
take photos for visual records, which are often posted on social platforms. As a result, more
individuals will be curious and want to experience that->those places. Furthermore, an
engaging view outside also makes it pleasant-> aesthetically pleasing for people when
they look into it, hence, this may-> is highly likely to help people feel ready -> more
energetic, motivated and productive at work for their work.
In conclusion, the exterior design’ importance is equal to that of the use of a building. It
really depends on each kind-> it can complement each other and the choice is based
on-> the purpose of construction and the main aim that buildings lean towards.

Topic 6: The best way to reduce poverty in developing countries is by giving up to six
years of free education, so that they can at least read, write and use numbers. To what
extent do you agree or disagree?
Today, with for the continuous a sustainable development of the world, the impoverished
situation ( sai collocation -> nên chuyển sang danh từ) => impoverishment need to be
resolved. It is believed that the most useful-> the most effective methods ( sao lại để số
nhiều???) to minimize->deal with this unwanted issue in developing countries is offering
six years of education without any payment in order to help the poor know how to literate
(này là tính từ sao con lại dùng như động từ???) and caculate ( sai chính tả_ calculate
basically. => in order to help the poor to become literate. / in order to lift the poor out
of the poverty

In my opinion, this way approach is a good solution proves to be effective but it is necessary
to consider and combine this with other methods.
On the one hand, six years education offer is a-> an way to push labor force of a nation
and make society become more fair-> fairer ( lỗi sai ngữ pháp!!) and more civilized.
When disadvantaged citizens have golden opportunities to access variety of subjects basic
literacy, it can awaken their potentials in some areas such as literature, music or maths,
etc,.. This is a springboard for the unlucky-> underprivileged individuals to pursue their
dreams and devote their talents for to the community ( devote s.t to s.o). Furthermore, this
method->policy can ( tương đối thôi nên dùng may can could would, hạn chế dùng thì
hiện tại đơn- chỉ dùng cho sự thật hiển nhiên đúng được công nhận) also create a
healthy competitive (là tính từ mà cho đứng 1 mình? ) learning and working
environment among for all residents in society, it means not just because a person
does not have condition to study, he is not able to chase his dream ( lỗi viết run-on

addition, if most residents in a nation are educated well, they will behave politely,
which makes the social communication more civilized. ( ko liên quan tới đói nghèo,
lạc đề!!!!)
On the other hand, it will be not effective should we just apply this method alone to
alleviate poverty, so it may need to combine with other method such as creating jobs
for them (câu ko sai nhưng diễn đạt không tốt) => a holistic approach should be
adopted, using various measures to stimulate job creations. Some companies can
employ and charity workers facilitate them to find their jobs to earn money for their
living (câu không sai nhưng diễn đạt yếu, và thực tế là )=> This can be achieved by
government encouraging foreign investment and offering tax incentives so that
businesses can expand their operations, leading to more job opportunities =>. It is so
practical and feasible to underpin (đúng là underpin mang nghĩa hỗ trợ- support nhưng là
support học thuyết/ idea/ something, cô chưa thấy underpin ai đó)=> support the poor to
improve their live (câu này viết theo kiểu tiếng Việt, thêm câu chữ nhưng ko phát
triển ý cho câu trước đó =>bỏ). Moreover, the unprivileged people can feel that they can
make income by->on their own and bring happiness to their beloved family => ko liên
quan đến các biện pháp để eradicate poverty. Consequently, the crime rate will decline and
the society will develop because everyone works hard. ( hệ quả nên liên quan đến tỷ lệ
poverty giảm, đề này ko liên quan đến crime rate! coi chừng bị lạc đề nhé con)
On the other hand, it will be not effective should we just apply this method alone to
alleviate poverty, so a holistic approach should be adopted, using various measures
to stimulate job creations. This can be achieved by government encouraging foreign
investment and offering tax incentives so that businesses can expand their
operations, leading to more job opportunities. In addition to providing more job
opportunities for people living under the poverty line, it is critical to equip them
with suitable job skills which can meet the requirements of factories and companies
through free vocational training and skills development programs for
disadvantaged people. As a result, these can increase their chances of landing a
secure job and earning a decent income, thus eventually lifting themselves out of
poverty

In conclusion, it is a great idea to support the poor people by educating them six years
freely ( con check lại từ điển nghĩa của freely có phải là 1 cách miễn phí hay không nhé)
=> free of charge, we need to make combination with other method like facilitating in
finding occupations for them to tackle the poor issue. ( lỗi viết 2 mệnh đề mà không có

 In conclusion, while it is undeniable that one effective way of alleviating poverty is

providing six-year education free of charge, I am of the opinion that we need to
make->use a combination with other methods like facilitating in finding
occupations for them to tackle the poor issue including job creations and skills and
expertise enhancement.
