2 COMMON VENOMOUS SNAKES

Be aware of these vipers and cobras


found in remote area!
1. Arabian Sand Viper (Cerastes cerastes):
Highly venomous viper with sandy coloration for

camouflage.
Strikes up to half its body length in a surprise attack.
Look for small horns above its eyes.

2. Egyptian Cobra (Naja haje arabica):


Large and highly venomous cobra with a distinctive hood.
Raises its upper body to threaten and may spit venom.
Avoid at all costs.
3. Black Desert Cobra (Walterinnesia aegyptia):
Less common but highly venomous cobra found in
desert areas.
Smaller than the Egyptian cobra but just as dangerous.
Nocturnal and can be aggressive if disturbed.

these steps:

Stay calm and seek medical attention

your heart.
Do not apply a tourniquet, cut the area, or suck
out venom.
