Problem
The core problem addressed by Magixx is the disconnect in how people perceive and
engage with business, value exchanges, growth, and accelerated growth through
technology.

This disconnect results in stagnant and failing economies that don't care pulling down
everyone as vicious circle and is exacerbated by practical barriers or 'Growth Tar Pits':

● Lack of understanding and visualization of accelerated growth


● Belief in feasibility to achieve accelerated growth
● Will for accelerated growth
● Capability building to continuously transform for accelerated growth
● Absence of a supporting community to collectively overcome the growth tar pits.

Business as a value exchange activity


According to the Oxford Learner's Dictionaries, a business is defined as “the activity of
making, buying, selling, or supplying goods or services for money, synonymously referred to
as commerce or trade”.

In the modern world, from the context of value, business can be seen as any kind of work
done to create something that employers, clients, customers, or even parents would value
as part of the “value exchange” process where both parties receive something they value.

● Students: Students are in the business of learning. Parents pay for education, and
they are made happy by high achievements in exams.
● Employees: Employees are in the business of work for hire. Employers pay for
services, and they are satisfied when their needs are met, such as a shopkeeper
serving customers.
● Business Owners: Business owners sell products or services to customers or
clients, such as a coffee shop owner who provides beverages and a comfortable
space for patrons.

Not recognizing business as a ‘value exchange’ activity between two entities, the provider
and customer, could cause self, social, and ecological value disconnects, which would
hinder the accelerated growth of the businesses themselves. These disconnects can
manifest in various ways, such as:

● Self Disconnects: Individuals may struggle to see the value in their roles, leading to
decreased motivation and productivity.
● Social Disconnects: A lack of understanding of the value exchange can lead to poor
customer relations and reduced community support.
● Ecological Disconnects: Ignoring the broader impacts of business activities on the
environment can lead to unsustainable practices and long-term harm.

The concept of Value Consensus in Business Value Exchange


The concept of value consensus in business value exchange transactions can be explained
using the Grönroos-Voima value model, which divides the process that leads to value for the
customer into three distinct value spheres:

● Provider Sphere: This sphere is closed to the customer and encompasses all the
activities and processes carried out by the provider to deliver goods or services. It
includes the production, design, and distribution of products or services that the
provider offers.
● Customer Sphere: This sphere is closed to the provider and involves the activities
and processes undertaken by the customer to integrate and use the provider's
offerings. It includes how the customer perceives, experiences, and derives value
from the products or services.
● Joint Sphere: This sphere represents the intersection where the provider and
customer interact and co-create value. It is where direct engagement,
communication, and collaboration occur, allowing both parties to influence and
enhance the overall value derived from the exchange.

Understanding these value spheres highlights the importance of achieving value consensus
between the provider and the customer. By recognizing and aligning the activities within
these spheres, both parties can co-create and maximize the value from their interactions,
leading to a more effective and satisfying execution of value exchange processes
continuously with the emerging economy that could create an organic pull system for
accelerated growth.

The concept of Accelerated Business Growth

Business Growth from creating wealth with care


In the realm of business, growth goes beyond just making money; it's about creating wealth.
According to Paul Graham, wealth isn't the same as money. It's what people desire: food,
clothes, homes, cars, and experiences. Money is just a tool for trading wealth. Businesses,
at their core, generate wealth by offering something people want.

Contrary to the idea of a fixed pie of wealth, modern businesses challenge this notion by
creating wealth. Imagine owning a beat-up old car; restoring it to pristine condition not only
enriches the owner but adds to the world's wealth. This act of creation doesn't take away
from anyone else's share; instead, it grows the collective wealth. Business growth, then, isn't
just about making more money but about caring and creating real value that enhances
people's lives.

Accelerated business growth

A “functional” accelerated business growth model could be described on a Cartesian graph


with two key dimensions:

X-Axis: Time: This dimension represents the progression of time as the business
undergoes various transformation projects aimed at accelerating growth.

Y-Axis: Value Consensus: This dimension is defined as the perceived value in the joint
sphere of the Grönroos-Voima value model, where everyone in the economic system agrees
on the value transactions. Higher harmonization on this axis indicates a stronger consensus
on the functional parameter of interest, such as the number of paying customers per month.
Transformation for accelerated business growth

A transformation project is a structured initiative aimed at significantly increasing a specific


business metric, such as customer acquisition, revenue, or market share, within a defined
timeframe. Each project sets ambitious but achievable targets and implements strategic
changes to meet these goals.

For instance, if a startup consultancy business is currently acquiring four new customers per
month and aims to increase that rate to forty customers per month within six weeks, this
transformation represents the functional aspect of growth. After achieving the initial goal of
forty customers per month, the next transformation project might aim to increase that
number to four hundred customers per month within another six weeks. This process of
setting and achieving increasingly ambitious growth targets creates a compounding effect,
leading to rapid and sustained business growth.

In the functional accelerated growth model depicted in Figure 2, dissecting the value
consensus involves the aspiration aspect, which should be seen as an extension of the
functional accelerated growth model. Aspirations without a functional anchor can lead to
daydreaming.

Ideally, the higher the level of harmonization on the value context of the y-axis, achieved
through continuous transformation projects, the more effective the emergent economic
system from the successive transformation projects will be in generating an organic pull for
accelerated growth in business. By successfully executing such transformation projects,
businesses can continually accelerate their growth rates.

Adoption Problems for Accelerated Growth Model in business


While the concept of a "functional" accelerated growth model offers a structured approach to
achieving rapid business growth, its real-world adoption faces several "aspirational"
harmonization challenges. These challenges, known as "Growth Tar Pits," can lead to
economic failures that hinder the accelerated growth required. Here are the key challenges:
● Understanding and Visualization: Potential adopters struggle to understand and
visualize what an accelerated business growth model looks like and should have
been happening for their specific context in terms of the value context on the Y-axis

In conclusion, achieving an accelerated growth model through rapid transformation projects


seems straightforward in theory but, due to the disconnects from functional goals or
milestones, such growth models are not common for everyone in the mainstream.

Economies that don’t care to economies that truly care with


accelerated growth
Achieving true accelerated growth requires aligning qualitative aspirations with functional
quantitative measures such as financial success, assets, and strategic plans. Failure to
harmonize these aspects can impede both personal and collective progress, leading to
indifferent and failing economies characterized by:

● Misalignment: Lack of harmony between qualitative aspirations (such as community


well-being) and quantitative measures (like financial success).
● Indifference: Failing to address genuine needs of individuals and businesses,
leading to stagnation and decline.
