Second-hand clothes

Why I buy second-hand clothes

Hi, my name is Amy. I have been buying second-hand clothes for
5 years now. There are lots of reasons to buy used clothes. You will benefit
personally and also help the environment. Read on to find out more.

You will save money

Used clothing can be bought in charity shops, online or at markets. You will

never pay anywhere near full price. Many people give away or sell unworn
items, so you can even get new clothes this way. Grab yourself a bargain!

Second-hand clothing is unique

If you like to stand out from the crowd, second-hand clothing is the perfect
choice. It is fun to find new styles that no one else has. You won’t find two
pieces of used clothing that are the same.

You will help the environment

Water, energy, material and chemicals are all needed when new clothes are
made. Re-using old clothes helps to save these resources.

I hope this makes you think about buying used clothing. See my blog next

How to be a good listener

Most people have about 27 conversations a day. We all communicate
in our daily lives for different purposes. We talk to people at home, at
school or at work. Sometimes we talk a lot but do we listen enough?
Everyone can develop better listening skills.

Some people who we might listen to are friends and family members,
teachers, workmates and neighbours. It is important to listen well. People
appreciate it when others pay attention. It is polite and it also helps you
to learn more.

DO NOT WRITE IN THIS AREA

When you are listening:
1. Look at people when they talk. This is called eye contact.
2. Keep quiet. Don’t talk over people.
3. Ask questions and show curiosity. This makes you appear interested.
4. Don’t look at your phone.
5. Don’t judge others. Keep an open mind.

Body language

Think about your body language as well. Don’t cross your arms. Crossed
arms make a barrier between you and the other person. DO NOT WRITE IN THIS AREA
