Uninstalling the expert advisors
To uninstall the expert advisors, there are 2 options available:

• Run the installer and follow the installation procedure outlined above. At the
last step the EA will be removed.

• Once the process is complete you will be shown the screen below, to
signify that the Expert Advisors have been uninstalled.
Troubleshooting common problems
1. Error message occurs while running the installer
Possible reason: if you have an older installation of the expert advisors, those
files might have become corrupt and prevent an updated installer to successfully
complete the process.

Resolution steps:

1. Uninstall the expert advisors from the "Add/Remove Programs" section

in Windows.

2. Run the installer again.

3. If the problem persists, please contact 4XC's customer support team

for additional troubleshooting.

2. After installing and attaching the EA to a chart, an error

message "Please input your API key" appears

Possible reason: for older versions of the installer the API key was written in the
downloaded file name. This is where the authorisation process run by the EA
was getting the account information from. Newer versions (as of October 2021)
should not have this problem

Resolution steps:

1. Copy the following API key from here: 618c140c-ac82-4099-b2f4-4e81ef26e94f

2. Input the copied API key into the window above and click Login.

If the above step doesn't resolve the problem, please report it to 4XC’s
customer support team.
3. After installing and attaching the EA to a chart, the EA does
not load, and no error message is displayed
Possible reason: the Acuity/Signal Centre EAs load the widgets using external
scripts and DLLs, and this option may be disabled in MetaTrader for security
reasons.

Resolution steps:

1. Attach the EA to the chart again by double-clicking the EA or by right-clicking it

and selecting "Attach to a chart".

2. In the Expert Advisors Settings menu that comes up, access the "Common" tab.

3. Make sure that "Allow DLL imports" in the Safety section is checked:
4. After installing and attaching the EA to a chart, an
error "Access to server name denied" appears

Possible reason: when expert advisors are set up on an account, we ensure that
only specified MetaTrader servers are permitted or "white-listed". This error usually
arises if the server that the user is connecting from, has not been added to the
white-list.

Resolution steps:

1. Check that the server you are connecting to belongs to 4XC and has given you
access to the Acuity/Signal Centre expert advisors.

2. If yes, please reach out to 4XC’s customer support team and request to add this
server into the white-list.

3. If not, please make sure you are connecting to the server that belongs to 4XC
and has given you access to the expert advisors.

Market Alerts

● These are unique news sentiment driven indicators.

● These offer traders alternative trade ideas with a confidence rating and time
frame so traders can plan entry / exit points.
● These are calculated using mathematical computations from historical
sentiment and price data patterns.
● Users can filter by asset and by confidence rating / risk appetite.

The idea is as follows:

1. We are monitoring when the Exponential Moving Average of the Feel Good Factor
sentiment crosses the Simple Moving Average of the Feel Good Factor, either
upwards (generating a bullish event or Market Alert) or downwards (generating a
bearish event or market alerts).

2. We look at the price data after each of these events, and provide an output of
whether the price data was going higher or lower, what is the probability of it going
up or down, and how long it was rising or falling.
News
The News section contains full news articles (the full text is revealed on click) that are
governed by the same permissions as the news and calendar events in the main asset
section (so either provided by Dow Jones, or FX Street, or ABM Financial News).

The user has an option of viewing asset related news only (for example only for EURUSD), or
they can also view all news. The “All” toggle controls this.

Display and Filtering

Here is the breakdown of how the asset news is displayed depending on the selected option.

News Article Count Duration

All News 50 3 hours

Asset News 50 14 days

We either display the first 50 news about the asset or 3 hours/14 days of publication,
whichever is first.

Here is the breakdown of how the news is filtered, depending on the provider.

Calendar Events
Calendar Events are retrieved either from Dow Jones or from FX Street. The following
event data is displayed:

● Name of the event (for example, Non-Farm Payroll);

● Event description (if provided);
● Time of the event;
● Country associated with the event;
● Expected Volatility associated with the event. The higher the expected volatility, the higher
the potential price movement the result will cause. Generally, if the results are better than
expected, then the price for the asset is expected to move higher, and if the results are
worse than expected, the price for the underlying asset will usually drop.

Users can also filter the events using the following controls:

● Date/Time of the event. The following options are available:

○ Recent and Next
○ Today
○ Tomorrow
○ Next Week

● Volatility Filter. Users can only choose to see events of a specific expected volatility level.

How to Interpret the Event Data

To learn more about an individual event, we recommend you start with reading the Event Description.
This will explain what the event is about, which country the data is released from and why the event is
important within the markets.

anticipated impact of the next event will be on this asset.

Event History
The History Chart displays the Forecast and Actual data of the past 16 events in a linear
chart display. Some event forecasts are more accurate than others and this chart can help
you to determine the potential accuracy of future events. Traders should factor this
variance into their decision making.
True Range
The True Range figure below the History Chart is the total price movement of your selected,
affected asset after the event in absolute terms. For example, if the asset price moved 15%
up and 15% down, the True Range is going to be 30% and not 0%.

The True Range data can be viewed according to a time frame of 1 Hour, 1 Day, 1 Week or 1
Month after the event. Use the Potential Range chart to the right of the History Chart to
amend the time frame on the History Chart.

Example:

In this example below, we have clicked on the Q3 2021 Non-farm Payroll event where there
was a large variance between the fore-casted and Actual data. There was a bullish price
movement 1 Hour and 1 Day after the event but a fairly significant bearish movement 1
Week and 1 Month after the event. This could be because the initial movement had been
priced in, based on the fore-casted figure whereas the bearish movement was a result of the
figures coming in well below expectation and the market adjusted.

News Sentiment
The News Sentiment gauge is a metric of how the global investment
community is feeling about this particular asset 1 Day before the
event. This could contribute to the movement of the asset price
both before and after the event particularly if the results are below
expectations.

To see the longer term effect of news sentiment on the asset’s

price, you can use the News Sentiment chart. A drop in sentiment
can often lead to a faster and more significant movement in an
asset’s price whereas positive sentiment can take longer to be
priced in and not necessarily as significant.
